They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. "They replaced the garage roof at my home. It took forever to hear from them once we signed the contract. The Roof itself looks great. They kind of just showed up whenever the mood struck. No specific times were ever given, even after they told us they were coming to do the roof. The price was not what was agreed upon in the contract. I called & asked if it was possible to have an approximate date (even within a week) when they were coming & they flat out said "No". Most of the roofers did not speak English, so that was a problem. They did not do a good job of cleaning up after themselves. If I had not looked in the driveway after they left, I would have run over a nail!! There were also other stray nails on the sidewalk & in the grass. They did not do a very good job of cleaning up the whole area. They were great until they got the contract signed... then not so great."

Which siding material is best for your home boils down to your budget, aesthetics, lifestyle, and climate. For example, stone veneer offers a timeless charm and is low maintenance but may have too high of a price tag. Meanwhile, some homeowners love vinyl siding for its low cost, while others dislike it for its appearance and shorter life span.
Mildew grows into porous wood, making it more difficult to remove than regular dirt (and more destructive). We suggest using a dedicated mildew and mold fungicide to remove mildew, which is found in any local home improvement store. Apply a dose of the fungicide to the siding and leave to work according to the instructions, usually for an hour or two. Then wash it thoroughly away and scrub the spot again. Repeat the process if necessary. If nothing is removing the mildew stains, you should plan on removing those clapboard planks in time, as their damage could cause future problems.
You can put new siding over clapboards, but it’s not recommended. Some sidings, like vinyl siding, can go over clapboards with sheathing like a foam layer in between. However, it’s best to remove clapboard siding if you plan on replacing it with new siding. Burying wood clapboards underneath new siding can create risks of rot and mold, or hidden insect damage. It can also create warping issues over time. Removing clapboards allows you to properly install a new sheathing, as well as clean up the exterior wall and look for any signs of damage.
Wood siding requires an air gap behind it to allow water to drain out, and for air circulation and venting to allow humid air to escape and keep the material from rotting due to moisture.
Vinyl log siding is durable, rot-resistant, colorfast, and scratch-resistant, and it can last for an average of around 30 years. Some vinyl siding can last for up to 60 years with proper maintenance. You won’t need to repaint or restain this type of siding every several years like you would with wood, so ongoing costs and upkeep will be minimal. Although it’s relatively low maintenance, you should still wash your vinyl log siding twice per year. Doing so will increase its longevity, remove any mold, and retain your home’s curb appeal.
