"If I could give David and his crew a 10 I would. Provided estimate quickly with fair pricing. Work preformed was done with great care and he wants to make sure the project is exactly how you want it. Excellent work and very personable to work with. Communicated well throughout two projects that we had them complete. Overall - excellent work!!!!"

1939. Yep, that's when it all began for us. Just a little water treatment business in the middle of the United States. Back when Franklin D Roosevelt was President, milk cost 49 cents and televisions started selling for the first time in America. Skip ahead 2 decades and a young man by the name of Darrell (Robbie) Robinson traveled from Chicago, Illinois to Rapid City to run this growing water treatment business and raise his family. Fast forward another couple of decades and the growing water treatment business was now booming with sales of swimming pool equipment and construction. Soon after with the popularity of hot tubs Robbie started the Pool and Spa Center. And so we were blossomed from a water seed! Over the past few decades we have remained family-owned and operated by second and third generations. As a company we have grown and moved around town, survived the 1972 flood and have still continued to serve our customers with the same standards and customer service as when we began back over 70 years ago. From all of us at the Pool and Spa Center, we strive to take care of our customers the best way we know how and to offer the highest quality products at a reasonable price. We carry the following products because we feel that they are superior quality and are innovators in their industry backed by exceptional customer service. We proudly serve Rapid City, SD and the Black Hills as well as Gillette and NE Wyoming with over 70 years experience.

Heavenly Heat Infrared Saunas are made for the chemically sensitive. That means that our infrared saunas create an ideal, safe, and effective detoxification environment for anyone seeking to eliminate toxic substances from their body.

"Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Hot tub maintenance can cost between $240 and $900 annually. These costs include deep cleaning the tub, refilling the tub several times a year, and keeping the water's chemical balance. Keeping up with regular maintenance and cleaning tasks can help to keep your costs down, as you'll avoid more complicated and expensive repairs.

Most hot tub motors can last between five and 10 years; however, hot tub motors can burn out sooner if the hot tub water is not maintained or if the motors themselves are not maintained or protected from the elements. Since hot tub motors (also referred to as spa pumps) power the jets and circulate the water, they are important for the functioning of your spa. Buying a quality motor, keeping the hot tub filter clean, and keeping the wet end of the motor wet and the dry end dry can help them last longer.

If water is left inside the hot tub pump over a cold winter, it could freeze and severely damage the pump, water lines, and jets. That can cause leaks, which require very expensive repairs. Freezing or leftover water can stain and damage the hot tub shell, which leads to replacement. Even in mild climates, leaving sitting water in the tub or pipes for a long period of unuse is a bad idea, since disinfecting chemicals fade and the water can develop bacteria, algae, and other big headaches when it’s time to use the tub again.

You can and should use a hose to fill a hot tub. There shouldn’t be anything special about the hose other than it shouldn’t be damaged. Kinks or leaks could slow down the filling process. Attach the hose to the nearest spigot and get the water flowing.

Most hot tubs will experience leaks due to wear and tear in the plumbing or the shell itself. The second most common issue is a heater malfunction due to the ongoing heat stress on moving parts. Finally, clogs happen in hot tub jets, especially when it’s time to change the filter.
