For some years we've had a leaky garage roof when there''s a heavy rain. Even after a new roof some years ago (done before Adam's Roofing was in business) the leak returned. So, when the leak worsened we called Adam's Roofing and the two brothers came out and worked on the roof. There was definitely an improvement and the cost of repair was quite reasonable so we were pleased. Unfortunately the leak returned so we again called and when they came out I told them we were going to be gone for two months and please do anything they could to alleviate the problem. They worked on the roof for over two hours and we haven't had any water in the garage since. The best part of this experience is they charged us nothing, saying they felt they should have had the leak fixed the first time. Folks, in this day and age that's good old fashioned service by a couple of young men who deserve a good reputation. My furnace is in my smaller attic upstairs. I put a bucket under the leak and called A & H. They were prompt and found out my condenser trap was busted so the technician replaced it. I thought we were done but that evening the leak was back and when I went to look it appeared to be coming from where the tubes from my furnace were attached to this new trap. Initially I was upset because one of the tubes was only tightened to the trap with a wire twist tie while the other one was clamped with the appropriate hardware. I called again and another technician came out and put a proper clamp on the one tube and did his best to tighten the other one. As a precaution I stuck the bucket back under the trap this time and when I got home from work there was water in the bucket. Not as much but still leaking. Anyway, I tried to get someone else out to fix it but wasn't successful so I figure I would try once more. This time it was fixed properly. I haven't had any leaking since the last visit. The two technicians were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was a bit disappointed in the first one when I saw the improper clamping but the second guy fixed it and now things seem to be good. The only other issue I had was the lady who I talked to the second time when it was still leaking. I told her I needed it fixed before it ruined my ceiling and that they would have to come around lunch time since I was already at work. She told me the dispatcher wouldn't be happy having to pull one of her guys from one job to do mine. I felt that was a bit rude and since they didn't do it right the first time figured they needed to work around my schedule. The dispatcher was very friendly however and didn't seem upset that I requested my lunch hour for them to come back out. All in all it has worked out and I am happy with the outcome."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ks/baldwin-city/a-and-h-air-conditioning-and-heating-inc-reviews-464156.htm"},"position":3},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Hase Plumbing Heating & Air","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"SD","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Vern F."},"reviewBody":"Plumbers removed old leaking Hot Water Heater and replaced with a higher Capacity one. They ended up having to come back a second day to finish the install due to the gas company not showing up on the scheduled day to inspect and turn on gas and didn't charge extra. A week later I called them back to the house as I felt the furnace was making a noise that didn't sound right. They inspected the entire system and found nothing wrong. They charged me nothing for that trip and told me to call if I needed to. I was very impressed with how well they cleaned up their mess. It didn't look like anyone had even been in the basement or upstairs where the thermostat was installed. No plaster dust, or spilled liquids, or foot prints anywhere. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely call them again to do the install. I haven't had any issues with the system they installed and have been very satisfied. Plumbers removed old leaking Hot Water Heater and replaced with a higher Capacity one. When the unit had issues, they got replacement parts over the counter from their supplier instead of waiting for the manufacturer to send. Overall a good, clean install. No Problems since.

"They replaced my furnace in 2021. Said they would be out in the spring to put the coil back in for the AC. They never came back out. They returned my calls once, and that was to say they needed to get a part in Sioux Falls. I never heard from them again. It cost me an additional $1200.00 to have someone else finish the job they started. Never again."

FAQs for gas leak repair projects in Aberdeen, SD
Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Fixing a gas leak costs about $45 to $150 per hour for a plumber or gas line specialist. The job’s overall cost will vary depending on the location of the leak. A leaky junction or connection behind the stove or dryer will likely cost about $120 to $170. But for a leak that requires a gas fitter or plumber to excavate a pipe in the yard, the cost could rise to $1,500 to $5,000. Keep in mind that gas leaks are very serious issues, so don’t hesitate to contact a plumber or gas line specialist immediately.
Fixing a gas leak can take anywhere from one to 24 hours, depending on the location and magnitude of the problem. A gas line specialist or gas plumber should be able to give you an estimated time to completion once they evaluate the situation. If your city’s utility company works to fix a gas leak, it will likely have information available about the anticipated time for gas service to be restored.
The cost of repairing a gas leak depends on the type of leak, its severity, and how difficult it is for the repair technician to reach it. Some of the most common gas line repair costs, on average, include:
Cap a gas line: $75–$150
Gas system inspection: $150
Pressure test: $75–$500
Damaged or corroded pipe: $6–$7 per linear foot
Repair gas leak: $120–$5,000
A local natural gas plumber, gas fitter, or gas line specialist should fix gas leaks. Installing gas lines and connections improperly can lead to dangerous gas leaks and explosions. Only a certified plumber or gas line specialist should run gas lines. This is not a job to try out DIY skills, so hire a professional gas plumber or gas line specialist immediately to find the cause of the leak and fix it quickly.
