4 EMPLOYEES. NO SUBS. COST IS DETERMINED BY THE JOB. TRAVEL CHARGES MAY APPLY. NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR AFTER-HOUR SERVICE. ACCREDITED MEMBER OF THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

"Chris and his laborers were very professional. They were on time or early for the work being performed. The patio design required several days of work. They cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. When rain derailed the final day of work, Chris reported the following day to make sure the work was finished to our satisfaction."

"Alex and his crew of TJ, Quinlan and Charles came out to put in a sidewalk for my Mother-In-Law's apartment at our house and extend our driveway. Our house is on a little bit of a hill so they worked with us and came up with a plan to keep the slope of the sidewalk to a minimum for my Mother-In-Law. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up great after they were done. In looking at their work after they were done, I couldn't ask for anymore and it shows why it is best to hire a professional group like Concrete Craft."

Madewell Concrete is Metro Charlotte’s top trusted concrete provider for driveway replacements. Replacing driveways is a large undertaking and an investment that will pay-off for years in terms of property value and longevity of use, so it’s important to use a driveway replacement company you can trust. Madewell Concrete specializes in residential concrete replacement. If you are considering a driveway replacement in the Charlotte NC area, it’s important to trust a professional concrete provider that considers all the functional elements required to build a new driveway that lasts for years to come. Your driveway gets put through a lot — not only is it responsible for holding up against several tons of vehicular metal and rubber, but it also has to endure storms, sleet, and, of course, those blisteringly hot southern summer days in Charlotte. Although there’s a lot to expect from a driveway, Madewell Concrete will install one that does it all. One component that separates us from competition is our commercial-grade concrete. The commercial-grade concrete we use is over 4 inches thick and has a rating of 3000 to 4000 psi. As a point of reference, 4000 psi is the same as airport runways, so you can rest assured your driveway can withhold extreme wear and tear over the years. Additionally, our commercial-grade concrete requires virtually no maintenance. We guarantee the longevity of our driveway replacements with a 10-year limited warranty. Aesthetic Component of Your Driveway Your driveway is one of the first elements that visitors experience on your property, it should have an attractive, clean appearance that complements the exterior of your home. For this reason, we offer a variety of colors, textures, and patterns for your driveway. So, if you’re not a fan of plain gray, don’t worry—you have many attractive design options to choose from.

"We selected Madewell Concrete in Charlotte, NC, after the rave reviews we saw on Google. Wow. What a major mistake. We had them pour an extension on our driveway and replace a patio in our back yard. The patio concrete was to be colored a natural earthen color and stamped in a random stone pattern. They poured on a 97-degree day and the result was a disaster since the concrete cured at too fast a rate to properly stamp it. When I complained, I was told by the sales guy to reach out to another company and pay more to seal it. I of course continued to complain, and they ultimately poured it again. At first, I was happy with it looking from a distance. Then after further inspection, I noticed they poured it several inches lower than the first pour; thus, it was several inches lower than the surrounding ground surface. Additionally, they broke a couple sprinkler heads and a drainage water outlet with their skid loader AND ran their skid loader into our whole house generator, damaging the generator cover and breaking its concrete base (which they slapped some concrete on hoping I would not notice) and shifting the entire generator several inches from its original location! The **** of it all is that they said NOTHING to me about it and simply left the job site once when they were done pouring the concrete. I reached out to the sales guy who quoted my project and found out he is no longer with the company, and I reached out to the project manager requesting he elevate it to his senior management. Apparently at this point I am being ignored despite multiple requests. I have had to pay dearly (thousands of dollars) to fix all they damaged and had to put pavers on top of the concrete to elevate it to ground level. I will add to all of this that they do not leave the job site without completely tearing up your grass and yard with their skid loader and they will not backfill the gaps they created between the concrete pour and adjacent grass. You will have at least an 18-inch-wide gap that is at least 4 inches deep that you as the homeowner will have to back fill with dirt to get everything level. I would give these folks ZERO stars if I could. They are a total disaster, and I might add unethical since they damaged several items on my property and said NOTHING to me about it and in fact tried to hide the damage!"

Outdoor Contracting was founded in 1998 by a civil engineer who was professionally trained to design and manage multiple trades of work on large-scale projects. Upon realizing that the residential market lacked contractors with sufficient licensing and capabilities to perform large, multiple-trade projects (such backyard living areas) and complex projects (such as drainage remediation). He took his training and capabilities, hand-selected and developed a team of highly skilled tradesman, and began offering their services to select residential clientele that needed more than what a typical landscape contractor can provide and is qualified for. Outdoor Contracting is the only company of its kind: We offer more services and have more professional experience and credentials than any other company in the region. We are a company that truly focuses on quality over quantity by staying small and focusing on projects that best fit our niche in lieu of chasing every job that comes along so our clients can deal directly with the owner who uses his 25+ years of experience to provide them with their own personal, highly experienced field engineer and project manager. Such an unprecedented level of expertise and oversight allows us to offer our clients a lifetime warranty on our workmanship. If you have a project that is complex and/or requires multiple trades with the need to have a field engineer or project manager to ensure things are done correctly, then your choice is clear and simple. Give us a call to schedule a consultation. We only offer two consultations a week (typically on Tuesday & Thursday evenings) to allow Bill to handle the field engineering, project management, and technical service calls for our existing clients. To ensure our clients are serious about needing our services and to compensate us for our time and expertise, we charge a $150.00 consultation fee. We will credit the fee towards any field work performed.

"Everything was great and a top rated service."

Carolina Pool Renovations is your one stop concrete pool company in the Metro Charlotte area. Offering the industry leading pool warranties and fully transferrable warranties allows us to help you protect your investment long term. From Huntersville to Rock Hill and beyond we take great pride in our workmanship and experience. Scott and Mike have over 20 year of industry experience and are the only company in Charlotte that has extensive experience in Manufacturing, Construction, Renovation, Repair, Surface Application and Service. Scott Ball has over 15 years in the pool industry and a background in service, repair, construction, renovation and pool surfaces. His background comes from years in the pool industry in Florida as the general manager for a pool construction company and then owner/operator of Gator Pool Service. Moving to Charlotte to gain more knowledge in the pool industry. He worked as the construction manager in charge of all operations for NC and SC applying the industries leading pool surfaces. Now as the owner and operator of Carolina Pool Renovations his extensive industry background gives CPR an edge that no other company in this market can boast. #CPRMyPool

"Our experience with CPR was mixed. First, this company is very knowledgeable and builds a high-quality pool. The finished product looks great, and our interactions with the crews were always pleasant. Communication was generally timely. They also provide startup services and "pool school" which take the stress out of the first month or so of owning a new pool. However, our beautiful new pool came at a very high cost--and I want potential future customers to be aware. The contract with CPR stipulates that they are not responsible for damage done to driveways. In signing this, I expected some damage to the area they used for staging materials and, sure enough, two squares of my roughly 250-foot long driveway were scraped and crushed on the edges. This was totally understandable and acceptable. When delivering dirt, one of CPR's subcontractors drove down the lip of the driveway (half a tire on, half a tire off) for the full length of the 250-feet of concrete. In so doing, half of the driveway is now cracked and/or crushed and needs to be replaced. There is also a healthy rut in the lawn from where the driver completely missed the concrete. Shortly after this happened, I asked Mr. Ball to come to the house so we could review the status of the project. At that time, I showed him the damage. He took pictures of the damage and made some comments about the driver and situation which I inferred meant there would be some remedy to the problem. Once the project was complete, I asked about the driveway situation. I made clear I was not asking for CPR to fix it completely, but since the damage was caused by negligence, I thought there would be some compromise on a solution. On the contrary, in a series of exchanges, I was told CPR cannot be responsible for the quality of the driveway (no driveway would withstand a fully laden truck driving on the lip) and that I could take it up with the trucking company (this is not the business with whom I had a relationship). Ultimately, I accept that CPR has no legal responsibility to fix the driveway. That said, good business ethics mandates that a company take responsibility for avoidable damage caused by negligence--not hiding behind a contract. I won't tell potential customers to avoid this company. As I said, you will get a good quality, beautiful pool. But DO NOT let them use your driveway. Insist on another access point or redline that portion of the contract. That $100k pool will could end up costing 10-20% more."

Decorative Concrete questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should screw your flange to the subfloor, including cement. The best way to get this done is to predrill holes into the concrete using a hammer drill and a ¼-inch concrete bit. Be careful when you’re ready to bolt your flange down, as you can accidentally crack it. You can avoid this issue by not installing the screws too deep. Or, you can opt for a flange with a stainless steel ring so you don’t have to worry about cracking the plastic.

The average cost of concrete by cubic yard is about $130 , falling in a range of $110 to $150 . If you’re looking to pour concrete over a smaller area, you may be able to pay per cubic foot of concrete, which would make the overall cost less expensive. It’s also possible to pay for a truckload of concrete, if your project calls for it.

Whether metal fence posts need concrete depends on the environment and the ground they're placed on. For thick earth and areas without significant weather or high wind, you can get by without concrete, but in areas with weak dirt and strong seasonal weather, it's a good idea to install a concrete base on each individual post. This increases the cost but not as much as replacing or reinstalling the fence would.

You can use soil and gravel instead of concrete when setting fence posts. However, concrete is more durable and longer lasting, so it's worth considering if you want your fence to withstand the test of time. You should especially consider concrete if you live in a region that experiences severe weather, which can damage your fence.

Yes. Amongst the four most common types of septic tanks—plastic, fiberglass, concrete, and steel—those made of concrete are the most expensive. This is the case for a few reasons, including the fact that they’re very heavy, so pros have to use specialized equipment to install them. However, they’re also incredibly durable, making the price worth it if it’s in your budget.
