I enjoy the challenge of creatively finding solutions to best suit my clients needs without breaking the bank. Over the years I have been able to build great customer relation by being honest, reliable, having great communication, and taking plenty of pictures on the way to show my clients the progress in their project. I take great pride in my client satisfaction and my own workmanship.

"We expected the house would be professionally updated with beautiful trims, colors, flooring, more spacious bathrooms, and most important – an extraordinary construction design with ADA accessible walk-in shower with convenient and safe accommodations for my mother and that the project would be completed by Thanksgiving 2021 for family gathering. I walked through early December and discovered that the house was filled with construction dust thickly floating in the air and covering all furniture, clothes, fixtures, vents, floors, etc. This was devastating as I’ve never seen anything like that - the house was unrecognizable and it was difficult to even see the new construction details as he nonchalantly continued to sand away at sheetrock, new trim, etc. his tools added even more dust everywhere.! I knew at that point it was going to be challenging to get in the house by Christmas. I hired flooring and painting contractors because he was extremely behind – working alone and could not add the floor and paint too. December – I hired a separate contractor to install hardwood flooring for bedrooms and painter because Wes seemed overwhelmed at this point alone and no resources to get us in the house temporarily for New Years and stay in guest bedroom as master wing was still in trim frame. Floor contractor delayed several times until construction saw tools and other equipment were removed and room cleared to allow him in. eventually able to do guest bedrooms but had to wait until late Feb/ early March for equipment to be moved to complete. Contractor requested painting before flooring but the house was filled with floating dust throughout and still he demanded that he sand more of the bead board, trim and walls. The painter that I paid was yelled at daily by Wes who demanded he return three times re- sand and repaint at my expense. However, the problem was trim that wasn’t professionally squared, uneven in spots, and walls that now showed many imperfections from constant sanding. Contractor’s solution initially for shower was to build floor up from entry to bathroom for roll-in shower. Immediately when I walked it I realized it would be a safety issue for my mother who has severe scoliosis. Paid Wes to remove flooring and do an alternative idea. He suggested building shower with 4” lip. Though it wasn’t what we expected or wanted, it was presented as the only option and seemed to that it might work as I understood stepping over lip into shower. Framing seemed that way. When I walked through the completed shower, I discovered that it was a step UP shower. That was an even worse solution for an elderly disabled person. Also, tiles and grouting not straight or even, also same for main bathroom floor tiling. Insisted that it be changed. Additionally, custom shower door had been ordered based on the size the shower was built @ $1700 cost. When I complained and requested replacement of poor-quality trim, he offered to cut pieces to fill gaps and uneven corners and find tile trim to cover rough uneven shower tile edges. He even said that he may replace a few tiles, but I didn’t want patching because I paid high dollar for professional work and materials. Also, I realized that the entire shower and floors would have to be torn out as it didn’t make sense to tear out a few tiles when it included floor and walls that were messed up. I found Freedom Shower Redi Tile roll-in shower solution. More expensive but Wes was not in agreement to pay anything. All expenses were going to lay on me. We now have a shower that my mother cannot use with uneven tiles in master and hallway bathrooms. DISSATISFACTION / HAZARDOUS CONCERNS:  ADA master bathroom shower construction and design are unsatisfactory for my mother’s ADA needs and did not meet her needs  Hazardous construction dust lingered throughout construction in entire house, ductwork, air, clothing, furniture, ceilings due to negligence of not protecting / covering these areas which required professional cleaners in December and May. Even newly purchased toilets were used and left unclean.  Poor quality installation of shower and floor tiles with crooked, uneven, and poorly fit tiles, along with uneven grout did not meet professional quality expectations in master and main bathroom floors  Construction of shower installation and design unsafe for disabled customer  Walls and trim work show imperfections from excessive sanding, making new construction look less professional than before construction was done  Barndoors left unfinished as well as downstair doors do not properly close/open  Excessive damage to hardwood and marble tile due to negligence – repair pending.  Dissatisfied with the labor rates for project that started at October for three bathrooms expansions with only one total demo still aren’t completed. Time extended to almost 6 months until I stopped to get house cleaned and cost is now $77k to contractor and additional $24K for our costs – minus cleaning/repair costs."

Driveway Sealcoating questions, answered by experts

Sealant comes in 5-gallon buckets that can cover up to 400 square feet. Measure your driveway to get the exact square footage, and remember to factor in enough sealant for two coats.

Driveway sealcoating costs around $500 on average, or between $1.25 and $1.50 per square foot for materials and labor. Most homeowners pay between $250 and $800 for this service. Your project price will depend mostly on the size of your driveway, the type of sealant, how much pressure washing or treatment is required before sealing, and the number of coats of sealant applied to your driveway. Most sealants come in 5-gallon or 55-gallon units, with up to 500 square feet of coverage per 4 gallons.

Regular maintenance will help you avoid costly repairs and early replacement. Clean the driveway surface with a stiff brush and water at least twice yearly, and remove any weeds that try to take root. Additionally, every two to five years, apply a sealcoat—this protects the driveway against damaging UV rays and keeps it looking like new.

DIY sealants exist, but professional application ensures uniform coverage and long-term durability.

There are more pros than cons, but there are a few disadvantages to sealing your driveway to be aware of. Sealant can make the surface slippery, which can be a hazard, especially when the driveway gets wet. Look for sealants with abrasive additives to help counteract this. You’ll also need to remember to reapply your sealant every two years and budget for the expense that comes with it.
