"Reached out to schedule and was informed I would need to pay a $50.00 deposit. After deposit was paid all contact was shut down. Was incredibly disappointed in the scam they ran."

We offer 10% military discount off all inspections. We accept all major credit cards, cash, check, and money orders.

"On the surface, the inspection seemed to go fine, and I bought the house. I’ve now been in it for a week and have found significant issues that Legacy failed to note or more likely failed to check. The inspection report indicated the dishwasher worked. When I used it, yes, it ran a full cycle, but without water. When I checked under the sink, I found the water supply was turned off, so I turned it on, it leaked massively. If the inspector had bothered to confirm the dishwasher worked, he would have found this. Second, the roll out awning over the patio was found to be broken on initial inspection and supposedly repaired. Guess what? It’s still broken despite that “repair” and being confirmed as working by Legacy. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Federal law doesn’t require homeowners to disclose the presence of asbestos in their home, but some states and local municipalities may require it. That is why it’s important to test an older home for asbestos and other health hazards before moving forward with a sale.

The short answer is yes. Room additions almost always increase a home's value. But just how much they increase it varies by the materials you choose, the type of room you build, and other factors. For instance, adding a sunroom will yield you a 49% return on your investment, while adding a primary suite results in a 63% return on your investment.

The biggest sign that you should repipe your house is if your pipes are past the average life span. Also, if your pipes are made of lead, polybutylene, or galvanized steel, it's best to repipe your home to avoid dangerous chemicals from leaching into your water supply.

You may also want to repipe your house if your plumbing is constantly having problems with leaks, corrosion, and low water quality. The cost to repipe a house is $1,500 to $15,000.

Wood-burning fireplaces typically make homeowners insurance more expensive, simply because they increase the risk for a fire in your home. Gas and electric inserts are less likely to bring up your insurance rates, but you should always speak with your agent to understand how installing any type of fireplace will affect your premiums.

Unfortunately, asbestos is not easily identified and can often be hidden in plain sight in your home. While it can look like fluffy fibers, tiny pieces can also appear in materials like plastic or cement, making it impossible to identify on your own properly.

Plus, since asbestos is so dangerous when disturbed, you should never root around to try and find it. This job is best for a professional who can test for the material properly.
