Beware Of Cool Ray I recently had a situation where my heat pump was not working on a Wednesday. I called Cool Ray. They sent someone out to investigate my problem. It was diagnosed as a failed blower. As the guy was figuring out how much it would cost me to replace the blower he mentioned, he doesn’t know if the motor was bad or not and would not know until he replaced the blower. He left and we were waiting on the new blower. I had called to check the status of the new blower but it was not in yet. On Friday I was told their supplier received their shipment about 2:00pm. Monday morning, they called about 8:00am and said they were coming to replace my blower. This meant they had the necessary material to fix my blower on Friday afternoon. Even though they offer Emergency Service they refused to come Friday and do the repairs. The weekend forecast was for nighttime temperatures to be in the mid to low 20 degrees. Since I felt they have no concern for their customers welfare I told them not to come. In summary: The initial inspection failed to find the motor shaft was loose. When inspecting the blower, the guy was inches from the motor shaft and had he checked he would have found out I needed a new motor and a blower. The blower is attached to the motor shaft and he should have checked it then, not wait to see if the motor was bad after installing a new blower

This was back in September. I scheduled an appointment and it was about a week out, no problem. Tech came out and looked at everything, long story short, the whole system needed to be replaced. The problem is, I was supposed to get a quote for either repair(if possible) or replacement (which, it turns out, was needed). However, I NEVER heard back from them. So after waiting a week for the appointment and another week only to not be called back I'm now 2 weeks without AC and its 90 degrees out. So I had to start the whole process again with another company. Not only do I think it's completely unprofessional to not call someone back like you say, but even after someone else informs the owner of the situation still no attempted contact or apology of any kind. Just a bill, 2 months later, with an attached quote for a new hvac system. Seriously?

CoolRay did a fantastic job. I give them a five out of five. They did a phenomenal job.

The price was very reasonable. It was actually much better than what my neighbor offered me. And the work was outstanding so I can't complain.

He could have done the same work with a cheaper machine for about $5600 but I wanted the top of the line machine. It was very reasonable compared to other companies.

They came and did the ductwork in one afternoon. They did the machine installation the next day and said I could do whatever I want. So it was all done in two days.

I wanted a remote control unit and they didn't have one so they said if I found one they would install it. They came back and, free of charge, reinstalled a different thermostat.

I have no single remark or a single complaint. It was very good.

The overall visit went well. We had a problem with one of our heaters however, our homeowner's warranty would not allow CoolRay to fix the problem. But he told me that once it was fixed he would come back out to check the work the other company had done.

They gave me the most honest assessment and price that we need to get it done. They explained to us what type of air condition unit we would need

It has proved to be very efficient. It was a good experience, except they took my expensive thermostat with them when they left. They were in and out. They did very good work and cleaned up after themselves.

I have only seen him one time but I would give him an A overall. The price was good and he was right on time. It was an emergency and he came right away. He was very professional.
