"It was perfect! They had to replace butcher block countertops that had been incorrectly installed by another company. They came out and gave an estimate and had samples of wood to choose from and gave options for the installation on the edges, etc. They show up when they are scheduled to for all appointments and they explain what they are going to do and how to care for the counters after installation. Exceptional people to work with!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"

Butcher block countertops are durable, but wood is generally susceptible to extreme heat, so you should avoid placing hot pots and pans directly on a butcher block counter. It’s generally safe to use a Magic Eraser on quartz countertops. Magic Erasers are made from melamine foam, a gentle abrasive that can remove scratches and stains from various surfaces. Although using abrasive cleaners on quartz is not recommended, the melamine foam is gentle enough to remove minor stains and scratches without permanently damaging the quartz countertops.

The short answer is yes. A stone-safe, pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth are all you need to clean and maintain terrazzo. Harsh cleaners aren’t necessary. You can also apply stone polish every few months to refresh your terrazzo.  

It’s recommended that you clean your terrazzo countertops daily to remove dust before it begins to build up. Dust and other debris can cause small scratches over time. If you spill something, be sure to clean it up immediately before stains set in.

Epoxy is typically more affordable than granite, especially if you’re choosing a high-end slab. Most granite countertops cost $75 to $145 per square foot to install, with high-end varieties topping $185 per square foot. 

In contrast, epoxy countertops cost $50 to $150 per square foot to install. The material costs for epoxy are significantly lower than granite, but installation costs can be higher.
