"AWESOME! That sums up the entire experience from the initial visit and throughout the entire mold remediation process. This house had some off the chart high levels of bad mold in addition to a crawlspace where animals had left some less than sanitary 'gifts'. They had me on the schedule and showed up exactly when they were scheduled and the entire crew made the Herculean effort required to get this mess cleaned up. Further, his network of professionals (i.e., electricians and HVAC pros) made the job seemless for me because I did not have to reach out and schedule them. Gerrid did all the coordination and I will say he brought in some excellent folks! Best Breathing = Best Customer Service. More importantly, the job was done correctly and my home smells so fresh and clean now."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

A good option for opening up and cleaning a sink drain is to use a ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of white vinegar, along with a rubber stopper to cover the drain while those materials work their magic. After about 15 minutes, you can flush the drain with hot water. In many cases, these materials can scrub out minor clogs and get the drain working properly again. If the issue persists, call in a plumber near you to get the problem permanently fixed.

Ever wonder what might cause your outdoor spigot to lose water flow? It's not as complicated as one might think. Something as simple as a clogged or leaky pipe could be the culprit. Some other causes are corrosion of the pipes or lack of water pressure coming from your street.

If you try a drain snake and various DIY methods for unclogging drains to no avail, bring in a professional plumber to assess the situation. Also, if multiple drains in your home are backing up or you smell sewage, a visit from a plumber is best. You can expect your drain cleaning costs to fall around $250, and this can include an assessment of what’s caught in your plumbing and if there’s a larger, underlying problem. You should also consider calling a pro if you need to snake a toilet, as DIYing this could lead to a cracked fixture.

Plumbers use a variety of tools to help unclog the toughest of drain clogs, but the most common tools they use are drain snakes and augers. They try a plunger or drain snake to start, then move to heavy-duty augers, and finally try using a hydro jetter to blast away the clog with high-pressure water. Hiring a plumber to unclog a drain costs $125 to $300, largely depending on the extent and location of the clog and which of these methods is best for clearing it.

Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. For example, if it’s caused by an excess of toilet paper, letting it sit could result in the clog dissolving and you may be able to simply flush it away by the time you wake up.

Only let it sit though if you have more than one toilet in the home.
