"Fernando and his crew did a fantastic job painting our house. This was a very complicated project with a large porch with many pickets, horizontal siding, wood shingles on two gable ends, three colors, and numerous cracks and crannies. Fernando handled everything from matching the paint to scraping, priming, pressure washing, painting, repairing a couple of loose boards, to a thorough clean up after the job was completed. And, they completed the job on time, exactly as promised.

Fernando and crew are very eager to please and took care of every issue we had.

You can't go wrong with Lopez painting. We will definitely use them in the future.

"Ken returned my call to schedule work quickly and was very polite and professional.  Ken removed wallpaper, refinished walls and painted. His workmanship was very professional and done in a timely manner. His cost was competitive with others. He also gives an awesome two-year paint warranty and is licensed and insured. All the work was done as agreed upon with no delays. I would recommend him and will use his services again when needed."

"I only use James when I need some work done to my house. He responds fast, gets the work done quicker than just about anyone else I've ever used and seems very concerned with leaving his customers happy."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Peel-and-stick wallpaper is designed to be removed without damaging walls, making it a good choice for renters or temporary design changes. However, damage to paint or drywall can occur under certain conditions. To prevent issues, the wall surface must be properly prepared before application—it should be clean, smooth, dry, and correctly primed or painted. Applying wallpaper to a freshly painted surface can cause the paint to peel off during removal. Additionally, removing the wallpaper too quickly or aggressively can also cause damage. For best results, always follow the manufacturer's instructions for both application and removal.

Yes, but professional services ensure secure installation, accurate leveling, and protection against wall damage, especially for heavy or valuable items.

Once again, contact with moisture is the culprit here, though water-resistant varieties of wallpaper are less likely to become wet and develop mold. Using a high-quality exhaust fan or dehumidifier and leaving the doors or windows cracked after bathing will keep this issue at bay.

Common mistakes when finishing basement walls include neglecting proper insulation, insufficient moisture management, and poor ventilation. Not addressing these issues can lead to mold growth, water damage, and discomfort. Additionally, inadequate planning, improper framing, and rushing the project can result in subpar outcomes.

It's essential to follow best practices, seek professional guidance if needed, and prioritize thoroughness and attention to detail.

Options include bricks, natural stone, and concrete blocks. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and budget.
