"Ryan did a great job. Showed up when he said he would, took great care in cleaning up after installing the bathroom ceiling exhaust fan I had purchased. If I need any additional electrical work, I will be calling Ryan."

Customers say: Quick response

"Nick is the best electrician my family had the privilege to work with when we installed the generator at home in the end of Oct. 2020. He is highly professional, kind, gentle and responsible. By working with him, we had the job done in the best way on both the quality of material and pleasant process of the project. We are very grateful and highly recommended Nexos company to our friends and neighbors. Lee & Henry"

"While, Luis' estimate was higher than my other 2 quotes, I went with LAD Electric because he called me on the day he was coming to give me an estimate because he was running a little late. He also went into detail on his estimate stating exactly what he was going to do. One other quote just stated, ..."Upgrade electrical service" and put an amount, and he also didn't come at scheduled appointment and I had to call him after waiting all day to ask if and when he was still planning to come. Other quote didn't even come to house and just gave me an amount over the phone."

"I hired Bertie to repair some ceilings in my kitchen, living room, and bathroom. He did a really nice job and left the house tidy when it was all said and done. He was responsive to my calls, and very friendly and professional. The work looks great and I've already recommended him to a friend. He is definitely a plaster guy I'd call in the future."

"Replaced two ceiling fans (living room & bedroom) and one ceiling light fixture (dining rm). This is an old house so one fan replacement needed a bit of upgrading. By using this company, I feel very secure that my family is safe. The two electricians were very courteous and on time both visits. I could go on-and-on----ALL GOOD"

"The KELCO team was fantastic! On time, pleasant, patient, and immaculate !! Being that I bought a â lemonâ Casablanca ceiling fan, ordering a second one, ( to find out that it was discontinued by Casablanca after 2 fan installs. ) And after a few trips later by the crew, AND the â ownerâ at KELCO overseeing that everything went perfect for me, I couldnâ t be more pleased with KELCO, their expertise, and my new ceiling fan! I would highly recommend KELCO by far, as the electrical company to hire! ;)"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Some disadvantages of a blower cooler—a type of cooling device sometimes known as a swamp cooler—are its increased energy demand and its higher noise level. Blowers require more energy to run because they push air out at a higher pressure. This also means a blower cooler can be louder than a fan. Blower coolers are also not recommended for humid areas because humidity limits their cooling potential.

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

Attic and whole-house fans improve a home's energy efficiency and comfort. They ventilate hot air from the attic, which reduces peak cooling loads, lowers reliance on air conditioning, and decreases indoor temperatures. This improved air circulation and expedited heat exit helps lower cooling costs, balance moisture levels, and enhance overall natural airflow, contributing to the efficient operation of other home equipment.

Most people describe the sound of an unbalanced ceiling fan as a buzzing or grinding noise. This is caused by the parts of the fan rubbing or rattling against each other as the blades spin. However, a wobbling fan can also make squeaking, rattling, or thumping sounds, depending on the severity of the balance issue.

Your bathroom exhaust fan shouldn't be loud. However, bath fans come in a wide variety of models, price points, and loudness characteristics, and yours may be louder or quieter than others you notice. Economy models tend to be the noisiest, with levels of 4.0 sones or more, which is about the sound of an electric shaver, while some high-end models can be barely audible.
