"I recently hired Luke to remove asbestos-containing linoleum from the original hardwood floors in my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, his professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for my home was outstanding. He handled the asbestos removal safely and efficiently, keeping me informed throughout the process. The final result blends seamlessly with the rest of the home, preserving its character and charm. The floors now look absolutely priceless, as if they were always meant to be showcased. If you’re looking for a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented professional for asbestos flooring removal, I highly recommend Luke. His work truly transformed my space."

"Steve was great to work with. He was very flexible in scheduling a date and time to do the work. He arrived a few minutes early and completed the job on time. After Steve left, I noticed some water on the floor from the asbestos removal process. I called him right away. He assured me the water was not toxic and posed no risk. He offered to come back to clean it up which was thoughtful. I told him it wasn't necessary and I would take care of it. There was some rust here and there on the walls, probably from the water splashing, but that was no biggie. The work he did was amazing!. The pipes pipes look like new. He even sprayed some sealant on them in some areas. I would highly recommend Steve and his team!"

"Rich and Noah were fantastic!  I had to schedule a last minute job for a basement clean out after my move, they were able to fit me in the next day, and I couldn't ask for nicer guys!  They were quick, efficient, and super nice!  It was so nice to have something go so smoothly after all the other issues with the move went....well the way a move goes.  But they came, cleaned out the space (even swept up!) and it was done and over with in no time.  I would hire them again in a heartbeat.  Thank you Rich, you made my day!

Asbestos Removal questions, answered by experts

Scraping off asbestos siding is extremely dangerous. When asbestos is inert, it does not pose a risk, but once disturbed, the fibers enter the air that you breathe and can cause irreparable damage. Professionals may scrape it off, but they will have more protective equipment and specialized tools that most homeowners do not have on hand.

Epoxying over asbestos tiles is generally considered a safe option when done correctly. Epoxy acts as a sealant, encapsulating the asbestos tiles and preventing the release of asbestos fibers into the air. The key is ensuring that the asbestos tiles are in good condition, firmly adhered to the substrate, and not damaged or deteriorating. This method is only appropriate for tiles that are undamaged and securely in place. If the asbestos tiles are already loose, damaged, or deteriorating, encapsulating them with epoxy may not be a sufficient solution, as it might not address the potential for ongoing asbestos exposure.

Most manufacturers stopped putting asbestos in linoleum before 1980 due to public concerns about its toxicity. However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) didn’t ban asbestos-containing products until 1989, and a comprehensive ban was not announced until 2024. This means that homes built after 1989 may still have asbestos in their flooring.

In the 1980s, the use of asbestos in house siding materials underwent a significant decline, ultimately being phased out by the mid-1980s to early 1990s. This change was largely due to a growing awareness of the severe health risks associated with asbestos exposure, particularly its link to lung diseases and cancers. With increased public concern and regulatory agency involvement, building codes and regulations were updated to restrict the use of asbestos in construction materials.

Older textures may contain asbestos, requiring careful handling and professional inspection before work begins to ensure safety compliance.
