"Jason and his crew came in to my homeand did a fantastic job. They spread out tarps and war bootiesany debris was caught and cleaned up. The job came out perfect and there was no mess anywhere. These electricians were totally professional, and the budget came in slightly under the quoted amount. I was thrilled with the job and recommend them highly!!!"

"Joe and his team are excellent! They have done fall cleanups for us for the past 2 years and they really do a great job. As a newer homeowner, finding a company for landscaping and other services can be intimidating, but Joe makes the process stress-free. This year he's helping give our property a facelift and he couldn't have made it easier to work out the planning. He gave us several options with respect to our budget. His estimates are honest, his crew is professional and respectful, and I trust that the work they do will always be top notch."

"FANTASTIC work performed by Jon Billias!!! Save yourself the trouble and contact him for your rebuild/handyman/demo needs... you will NOT be disappointed!! He is priced right and has a work ethic that you just don't see anymore today. He is extremely courteous, and goes the extra mile to text when he is on his way along with updates throughout the project (much appreciated). He tore down a double linked shed that was damaged in a storm for me in a single day, which would of taken anyone else 2+ days to complete. He left the site so clean and neat that you wouldn't even know what color the structure was previously. As there wasn't even a paint chip left behind after the demo. Needless to say I am deeply impressed with Billias Restoration and have already passed the word on to 3 other friends/family to utilize his services. Now I just need to have the business card that he gave me laminated so I can rehire him without hesitation for future projects!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

If your dog always does their business in the yard, daily poop pick-up makes sense. The nitrogen in the poop can start making its way into the grass and surrounding soil quickly, a rain shower can send the waste into waterways, and less poop lying around means less chance of stepping on it accidentally.

Many privet varieties are considered invasive, particularly in North America. They can grow quickly, spread into the wild, and push out native species if left uncontrolled. It’s a particular problem for warmer southern states, and some regions even have warnings or regulations against planting certain types of privet. You can reduce (but not eliminate) the chances of privet spreading by cutting its flowers in summer before they develop.

It typically takes six to 12 months for leaves to decompose entirely. The process involves the mulch composting into your lawn to deliver nutrients that facilitate grass growth. The recommended process is to spread a thick layer of leaf mulch over your garden and let it marinate for a few seasons for best long-term results.

According to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, there are over 10,000 kinds of mushrooms, and some are harmful to both humans and animals. However, not all mushrooms are harmful—some feed on thatch and wood, which provides nutrients for grass and plants.

But unless you’re a mushroom expert (mycologist), it can be hard to tell poisonous mushrooms from non-poisonous. So if you have kids or pets (or both), removing them is the safest route to take.

The legality of blowing leaves into the street depends on your city or county laws. Many cities have codes that restrict blowing leaves into the street because it can obstruct the view of nearby drivers and make cars dirty, not to mention angering neighbors. Violations can result in a fine or other problems. You can check the codes on your municipal government website to learn more local guidelines, but avoid spraying leaves into streets for now.
