"John of Plymouth Nursery and Landscaping and his staff were wonderful. They did a terrific job cleaning up my property and planting all new beautiful shrubs and plants. Also installed a system to help with my water problem. My property was in desperate need of a face lift and John and his crew came through. I would recommend Plymouth Nursery and Landscaping!"

"We had an excellent experience from start to finish. The team was highly professional, communicated clearly, and completed the work in a timely manner. Their pricing was very fair for the quality of service provided, and they went above and beyond with a thorough clean-up after the job was done. It was truly a pleasure working with J & N Concrete Excavation LLC and I would highly recommend their services to anyone, we had such a great experience I’ve booked 2 more jobs with them."

"Had to replace some rotting 4x6 framing timbers for brick steps leading up to our pool. Tried to do it myself but after discovering how solidly and intricatly built (lag screws, angle iron, mortar and brick) the original walkway was, decided I was getting in over my head and found Pieretti's here on AL. Owner Gary Pieretti gave us a great response (1-2 days to making a visit), especially for such a small job, and then did the work 5 days later. The work took him about 2-3 hours and is really well done. He had quoted up to $300 (not knowing what he would encounter with buried timbers and what not) but he billed us only $100, which we thought was VERY fair. We will definitely be using Pieretti's Landfeatures again (and for much bigger jobs!). Thanks Gary!"

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

You should pump your septic tank once every two to four years for a family of four, depending on your septic tank size. You should pump a 1,000-gallon septic tank every two years, while a 1,500-gallon tank should be pumped every four years. Water usage also affects how often you should pump your septic tank. If you notice slow drains, foul smells, or gurgling sounds from your drains, you should pump your septic tank as soon as possible.

Never use Drano on blocked toilets. You can end up with a ghastly leak because the chemicals eat away at the glue that holds pipes together just as effectively as they do with clogs. Drano is known for being particularly rough on toilets, which is why some plumbers actually dislike the product.

Regular pump-outs, inspections, avoiding chemicals harming bacteria, and managing water usage are keys to sustaining peak system function.

To get rid of a sewer smell in your crawl space, you’ll have to find the source of the problem. If it has to do with your sewer lines, then repairing the line will help. You may need to make other repairs, like fixing your sump pump or encapsulating your crawl space to reduce moisture. After you make the repair, depending on the issue, you may still need to clean out your crawl space to get rid of the stink.

Modern septic tanks have two lids: one that covers the inlet where wastewater flows into the tank and one that covers the outlet where the treated water flows out to the drain field. However, older septic tanks installed before 1975 may have only one lid. Because septic tanks last 20 to 40 years, if yours only has one lid, it may be time for a replacement.
