12/20/2023 - Please Note I am very blessed to say things have been very busy for me the past few months starting out on my own and I apologize for any late response or double messages sent by accident or not being able to book as soon as i would like to be able to. I will have a full office staff soon but until then, I rather keep my perfect rating by going slow and not make any mistakes or rushed appointments that I know I can't make and waste your time waiting for me. also, if you are outside of my service area and would like my free HONEST opinion on an estimate that was left for you via phone call don't hesitate to reach out a few basic questions I can let you know if something sounds off. 610-840-7088 \n\nMy name is Chris and I am the owner of Clark Chimney and Masonry. "When we purchased our home there were existing brick pavers in the yard. However, they were old and didn't really serve a purpose in the way they were placed. Meehan Renovations excavated the old pavers and replaced them with new ones, building us a nice patio area that is about 10 x 10 or so. They also made a walkway from our deck (which they also built) to the patio. We couldn't be happier. We would definitely recommend Meehan Renovations.
"I hired Hauck Excavating to demolish a wind damaged 2 story grain elevator building located between 4 - 16' grain bins and only 7 feet from a busy highway. He did the work with solid planning, great equipment and great trafic control. The grain bins were not damaged and no material hit near the road or traffic. Work was done quickly in coordination with PPL and the site was left clean and clear. I highly recommend Shane Hauck Excavating"
Excavation is priced in cubic yards, so you’ll need to find the volume of the area in order to calculate costs. Multiply the length, width, and proposed depth of your excavation site, then convert it into yards to get the volume. Multiply this figure by the price per cubic yard.
Most homeowners can measure by hand to get a rough estimate, even if it’s tedious. You may want to pull out a tape measure or use a string to help mark the area.
A joint utility trench, or joint trench, is a long, buried ditch on a property that contains two or more utility lines rather than running the lines in multiple trenches. Some utilities, like gas and electric or electric and communication lines, are better suited to joint trenching, while others, like water and sewer, are not allowed to be in the same trench.
The physical constraints of hand-drilling a well limit the depth you can achieve. Manually digging with picks and shovels may only lead to shallow wells of up to 60 feet in depth. To reach greater depths, you need more specialized equipment. The diameter of your well and the tools you’re using will determine how far down you can dig.
A crawl space can be as little as 42 inches below the grade of your house, but this is not always recommended in flood-prone areas. At a minimum, there must be at least 16 inches of clearance between the ground and the floor joists to access the space in an emergency.
Trenches are typically 12 to 24 inches deep and 8 inches wide. However, the required depth depends on the specific project and local ordinances. For example, a French drain may need to be 18 inches deep, while a water pipe might require a depth of 24 inches and a drainage pipe 36 inches. Your city or county may have specific regulations, so it's wise to consult with an excavation professional to determine the correct depth for your project.
