"We hired them to do a demolition project for us in spring 2021. They bid a fair price and finished the demolition quickly. TJ and his crew all seemed quite nice and friendly. The problem is they never finished cleaning up all the stuff that they said they’d take away. It’s been two years and I’ve been reminding him periodically, but I think it’s been long enough. If you use them just make sure you don’t make the last payment before the work is completely finished."

The white stains you see on your bricks are likely efflorescence, which is salt and lime buildup. To remove efflorescence stains, simply brush them away with a stiff brush. For larger, more stubborn stains, scrub the stains with a water-detergent solution.

Rock salt and ice melts contain sodium chloride, aka salt, and are corrosive to metal and concrete. If used frequently over time, it can cause corrosion, discoloration, chipping, and cracking to patios, walkways, and driveways. You can try a rock salt alternative or hire a professional snow removal company instead. 

A fireplace hearth is a fireproof flooring material that extends out from the base of the fireplace and into the room. Hearths can be made of brick, ceramic, marble, limestone, and more. A hearth serves the purpose of decreasing the fire risk in the area directly around the fireplace. If flying embers hit carpet or wood, they’ll spark and create a fire.
