"Called Josh on a Saturday morning to report a problem with our heat pump by noon he was here and had identified the problem. We are very happy with this company as they do not use a 1000% markup on parts like some HVAC companies in the area seem to charge. With Air Adviser you get Honest service at an Honest price."

"Mike was great and his team was too !   He scheduled the work quickly and actually visited the site prior to be sure he had the right equipment.  He and his team were right on time and the guys worked very hard in tight spaces doing a better job than the original contractor had done.  All of the damaged flex line was removed and brand new lines were installed and elevated with zip ties off the ground to better avoid varmint damage in the future.  Mike checked my furnace and did some quick maintanance in it for me.  He is extremely experienced and very personable, and his price was extremely fair.  I would (and will) call Mike Bowen for any and all future HVAC, electrical, plumbing and gas needs for my cottage.... EXCELLENT GUY - EXCELLENT COMPANY.

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

It’s critical to use the right size AC for your space and not go too small or too big. If you purchase an undersized unit, it won’t properly cool your house, and it has to work harder to reach the optimal temperature. This will eventually wear your unit out. An oversized unit can spell trouble because it will turn off and on more frequently, which also wears out your AC unit. An oversized unit also causes humidity in the home.

Yes, through thorough cleaning and inspection, optimizing functionality, and reducing energy use.

Many factors affect how much adding air conditioning will cost you, from the size of your home to the size, type, brand, and installation specifics of the system itself. Chances are, a new central air conditioning system for a 2,000-square-foot house will cost somewhere between $3,900 and $7,900 to install, with an average around $6,000

The difference between a home surge protector and an HVAC surge protector is that an HVAC surge protector is designed to protect the components inside your HVAC unit while a home surge protector is installed near appliances and meant to protect your entire home. There are three tiers of whole-house surge protectors, and they are more expensive to install than HVAC surge protectors.

If possible, avoid placing furniture in front of a return air vent. A blocked air vent can cause your HVAC system to use more energy, which in turn can lower the life span of your unit and raise your energy bill. Furniture can also trap hot or cold air, damaging your furniture or appliances.

Professional duct installers suggest leaving between six and 12 inches of space in front of an air return vent. If you must place furniture in front of a return air vent, try to aim for putting furniture over a floor vent instead of in front of a wall vent, and avoid draping curtains over any vent system.
