We do Lawn fertilizing, weed control, grub control, flea and tick control, disease control, core aerating, and overseeding. Fertilizer provides the needed nutrients for your lawn to grow lush and green. Without it, the grass is unlikely to grow healthy and full. It also may not be as green as you want it to be. Optimal fertilization results occur when the product is applied accurately, If coverage is inconsistent, growth will be as well, making your lawn look Bad.

Your lawn will have visible signs if it needs fertilizing. If your grass looks discolored, is slow growing, looks thin, or your yard has bare spots, then it probably needs to be fertilized to give it the nutrients it's lacking. But if it’s mid-January in New England, for example, you’ll need to wait until the weather warms up again. If you want to keep grass green in winter, consider a grass like Kentucky bluegrass, which maintains its color year-round.

If it’s been a few weeks and you haven’t seen anything pop up, double-check your seed packet and make sure you didn’t miss any steps. Did they need cold stratification (putting seeds in the freezer and then transferring to water before planting)? Do they have an exceptionally long germination period? 

 If you’ve followed all of the directions closely, you may just have had a bad batch of seeds. (Sadly, it happens.)
