They were excellent. Their quality of work was a B because they have broken my well cap and I had to get a new well cap and they did some fairly serious damage to a Mulberry tree with one of the young kids that was using the weed wacker. I have used them for so long, all I have to do is call and say Keith, I need my driveway cleaned, come by in such and such time in the morning and there is no problem. With landscaping and mowing, they do you on the route and they do you when it is most effective for them as far as gas and timing and stuff.

Breneman?s Landscaping did my spring and fall cleanups in 2011 and I was very pleased with their work.  I also authorized them to do several additional projects (erect a small section of custom fencing and add brick accents to a concrete wall) but they never scheduled those jobs.
Even though my special projects fell through the cracks, I was happy to have them back for spring cleanup 2012.   Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the work this year.  The year before, spring cleanup had included edging flower beds, pruning trees and bushes, picking up sticks and leaf debris, mulching, and just all around tidying up of the exterior of my home.  This year spring cleanup equated to nothing more than throwing down mulch right over top of the debris.
I notified Keith, the owner, of the problems and sent him pictures to document them.  He said he had not personally supervised the job this year and would come back to do touch ups.   Within a day or two after the ?cleanup?, we had had our yard re-graded and re-seeded so we asked him to wait until the grass germinated before he and his team came and walked on it.  This was March?we didn?t hear back from him until mid-May.
By that time, we had figured he wasn?t coming back and had done the work ourselves.  We didn?t think it was fair for him to absorb the cost of the mulch so we offered to pay for that and a few hours of labor.  He came back to us asking for more which we paid just to be done with the situation but we don?t think he was very fair with us by insisting on making a profit on such an awful and incomplete job.
NOTE:  My ratings on price, quality, etc. are based on successful 2011 transactions and subpar 2012 service.

Keith gave us a good price, and their work was decent. However, in the end we were very dissatisfied. During the big job my husband was at home, and asked a lot of questions. Keith became very defensive and angry with him, whining that "we didn't trust him". Keith then did some minor fertilizing work. We believe that he overcharged us- there is good evidence that only 3 bags of fertilizer were used, though he charged us for 9. He then proceeded to tell a different version of the story to myself and my husband, further cementing our belief that he was lying. Shortly after sending the bill for the big job, Keith showed up unannounced on my doorstep and demanded his money. He stated that "plants are going to start disappearing from the lawn" if he didn't get his money. He then said he wasn't going to leave the driveway until he got his money (the bill wasn't past due, it had only been about 2 weeks since we received it). I don't appreciate being lied to, cheated and threatened. I found Keith's unprofessional behavior appalling.
