"I hired this company. They sent me a very professional sales person who spent time with us to show us what they could do to replace just the two leaded glass panels in our solid wood front =door. We were very pleased with the salesman and he gave us lots of information, answered all our questions. We will be visited by the project manager next week to take measurements and then they manufacture the panels and will install them when they are completed."

"I’m extremely happy with the work! He installed my exterior sliding glass door and did an awesome job from start to finish. He was very punctual, communicated everything clearly, and was very professional. The price was also very reasonable for the quality of work. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing this type of service!"

"I went to have the glass replaced in my front storm door because I did't care for the decorative design on the glass. When I called Brett he gave me an estimate based on the measurements I gave him. When I came with the door, Brett looked at it and let me know that the decorative feature was just a stick on --not a part of the glass. He took the door, removed the decorative feature, cleaned up the glass and charged me nothing. So with 15 minutes, I had the finished glass. His honesty was great!

"The work took about a week to complete, although Dan used a plumber who installed the shower hardware and fixtures and the floor and glass for the shower. That took a few weeks longer to install because the glass needed to be measured and specially ordered. But it was worth the wait!"

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home. Do not use regular tile mortar because it may not have the binding strength and flexibility required for glass block windows.

Luckily, glass block windows need minimal maintenance. Other than regular cleaning, the only maintenance involved in having a glass block window is inspecting for cracks every year and applying sealer to the mortar joints if the blocks are set in masonry mortar. Glass block windows hold up well against wind and moisture better than traditional windows and are not prone to rot.

You can still see vaguely into some types of glass block windows at night. Although there won’t be clear definitions, passersby may still see shapes, shadows, and movement through the glass. If you want complete privacy, consider installing diamond glass block windows rather than the typical clear or wavy glass blocks.

Glass block windows typically last for 15 to 30 years, which is slightly less than the 20- to 50-year lifespan of standard windows. You can extend their life by resealing them every few years. Professional installation is also key to ensuring the windows are placed correctly and will function properly for years to come. A professional installer will have the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to install these features and can identify potential issues like damaged frames or cramped areas during a consultation.

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.
