We love working with V&V Construction. Eric is always enthusiastic, looking for deals to save us money, and coming up with creative additions to our project to improve it along the way. I highly recommend V&V.

K F Construction

This is why I will never use this company again. Around the middle of August, I called KF Construction to ask for an estimate on repair of a roof leak. He asked for a picture and I sent it. He asked about the size of the repair. I didn’t know but said it might be 3’x5’. He said it could run me $700-800. He said he would send his people out. Three men came around August 23 (2022) and went to the roof. Within the hour they came down and said that they already repaired the leak. They were not there to give an estimate. The repair was not 3’x5’. It was closer to 3”x5” and took one shingle to repair. So, less than an hour for three men and one shingle. I received an email bill from Frank at KF Construction for $760. Since my repair (without a physical estimate) was pretty high for one hour’s work for three men and one shingle I asked him for a breakdown of costs and to reconsider the large fee. I asked him five times. He refused five times. He took me to court. I had to pay. I will never call on this company again. I will not trust them. I will never recommend them

Unlimited Home Improvements
1.0
BEWARE!! The Unlimited part of their name is for the amount of time and money you will spend on your home renovations. We were told our project would take 8 weeks and it took 15 months. We were told excuse after excuse as to why they couldn't work on our project after they were paid in full. We had to beg them to come back and finish, through out the project we have record of asking them if they were coming to work 33 times. We just wanted the major parts of our project done and them gone, after they said they were finally finishing up we received a bill a month later for some of renovations that we already paid for. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!

WHL CONSTRUCTION

Great work by the WHL team in installing two decks, and outdoor lighting in just three days! They have excellent reviews online which is why I reached out and they were very responsive, communicated throughout, gave accurate quotes and actually did what they said they would do- what more could you ask for?! I really like that the are a "family" run business, the owner is hands-on and it shows that they are truly professionals-THANK YO

ALTAMONT ROOFING & CONTRACTING
5.0
Considering we ran into a pandemic and work stoppage along with supply chain issues - they did a great job! They were clear about scheduling, were conscience about their work and clean up. Dealt with the 'mess' of a prior attempt and turned my deck into a place I will enjoy for years to come - along with new siding, windows and lighting. They did a rubber roof replacement in the past for me that was managed around heavy rain and needed to be done quickly, they didn't let me down with this larger project either. I would definitely hire them again

Kirsch Construction Co
5.0
Kirsch Construction did excellent work. Replaced wood deck with Trex composite material and white vinyl rail. From demo to completion, the work was done in 9 days that included some delays due to rain. New deck looks great. We plan to have Kirsch Construction work on other home improvement projects around the house. Pictures show what the deck looked like, the rebuild, and the final deck

Randy Morrison Construction

Very happy with Randy's work he did an amazing job putting a metal roof on our rental property and fixing a few damaged areas as well. Things went well from start to finish Randy always made sure we were happy with the work that was being done. We had a bad experience with another contractor in the area, wish we would have found him sooner. Highly recommended!

Very happy with randys work his guys worked in the coldest weather and payed attention to detail. After having two previous bad experiences with contractors it was nice to finally find a good one that knows what he is doing and actually cares if you are happy with the work. Will definitely hire again for whatever remodeling I may need in the future

Kirsch Construction Co
5.0
Before hiring Kirsch construction, my husband didn't trust anyone's work but our own. However, we have found this outfit to be prompt and good at what they do. They are worth every penny because of the excellent quality. We have had them add on rooms, tile a custom shower and floors, install siding, lay flooring, install cabinets and sheetrock. They even did the plumbing for the bath. We fully intend to have them back once the weather breaks. I have found them to be good problem solvers. Every house has its own unique areas and these guys have been able to handle all of ours. I highly recommend them for most any job and especially for kitchen and baths

He has been our blessing in disguise. I want to say he is honest, fair, and fun to work with. He gives you a fair quote and its very accurate. He is also punctual and works hard. He is currently fixing a rotted back end and leak of our camper, but he can fix anything. If you need work done call him

"Very good communications. Paul Ritter, their representative really made the insurance stuff pretty painless. Donna, the painter, did a great job of repairing the cracks and covering the water spots. They kept me informed about progress and when schedule needed modified due to weather issues. Repairs, with exception of some minor upgrades, were paid by my insurance company, so I wasn't able to negotiate price.

"Impressed and Grateful! Stoney Brooke remodeled our kitchen and we can’t say enough about how great working with them was. Scott and his team were awesome and did an amazing job. From initial quote he guided us to help maintain our budget and select the best design and materials. They communicated every step of the way and helped us understand the process, they were never anything but professional when we had questions. Their care was evident from the beginning, their work is excellent, and we are ecstatic with the results of our project!

"Lesher was the only contractor to prepare and offer sketches (rough and detailed) of house plans.
Original building site was on ridge top, however, after meeting with excavators it was realized that the cost of putting the driveway in and clearning of land would be in excess of $30,000. Lesher suggested building on a lower level to save cost.
Lot was cleared of existing timber and resloped to meet maximum 18% slope for drive. Towhship reviewed site plans (more than once) and required creation of a sediment retention pond.
Basement was excavated, partially into slope, and footers set, aggregate laid down. During pour of basement walls, subcontractor failed to set L-bars to join footings for garage to basement walls. This resulted in separation of the two (noticeable within 2 days). Lesher responded to this by contacting an engineering firm which then drilled steel bolts from the basement walls into the garage footers. The bolts were tightend to ensure a solid fit. Also, parts of the garage footings were reinforced with concrete block to ensure stability. We were not charged for the costs of repairing these deficiencies.
To provide sufficient space in the basement, a steel I-beam was used to transect the basement. This eliminated the need for 12 support posts. This was an extra cost of about $3000. Also, we wanted a basment with extra height, roughly 10-11 ft. Lesher objected to this due to extra cost, but we held firm.
Our exisiting house has 10 ft ceilings in the basement. We wanted a similar height for the new house. Lesher wanted to go with the standard 8 ft. After some interchange, ceiling height was agreed at 9 ft. This cost a bit extra but going with 9 ft it was possible to utilize standard drywall without the extra cost of cutting and mudding.
Another point of exchange was the kitchen cabinets. We wanted cabinets to go to the ceiling, Lesher objected due to extra cost. We had a number of discussions and met with R.F. Fagers who came up with an acceptable design. Fargers was also involved with the kitchen counters. We wanted granite and the original stone company we met with could not meet quality requirements so Fagers utilized another.
Bamboo flooring was installed in the kitchen, dining room, and part of the living room. Tile flooring was installed in the bathrooms. Carpeting was installed in the living room, bedrooms, and front room. Pocket doors including French pocket doors in the front room were installed.
At the end of July, the house was occupied. About that time a small spot on the master bedroom was noticed. This spot grew over the next month. Investigation via through the attic identified that the venting for the master bathroom was not connected to the rest of the piping allowing rain to fall through the ceiling, into the attic and seep through the spider insulation. Contact with Lesher resulted in an immediate response and repair at no cost.
Three geothermal wells were installed for heating and cooling. A well was also drilled to supply the house. All come in through the basement wall. The pipe connecting the water well leaks at where it comes through the wall. This was noted several times and Lesher dug out the pipe and attempted a repair. This repair was insufficient and the wall still leaks. Lesher has not responded for multiple requests for repair since 10/2011.

"As far as their products for roofing they seem great quality. However super overpriced. To the point they can come down 15k+ in their estimate. However not why I give them a horrible review. We wanted a quote for a metal roof- not a FIVE hour meeting and presentation. No indication of this length of time was given when making the appointment. Insisted on both spouses present meaning we had to basically let our kids watch tv the whole time and feed them a bunch of snacks bc I couldn't leave to even make lunch without them stopping their talks. Pushy. Did not need or want a power point presentation comparing their company and prices to others (which by the way they inflated to double what it's costing us). So nope would not use them. In this age of three young kids and little time they were a total waste of a day and would have very much appreciated a shorter meeting and perhaps an email or text vs showing up at our house again the following day with a better offer
