"Dirt Werx is lead by professionals who know their business. They did the job quickly and were able to access issues they ran into and adjust accordingly. They kept constant communication and were very clear with what direction the project needed to take. When they were done they cleaned up the area to the point that one would not know they were ever there!"

"They came when nobody else could. The wife and I were stuck in the house with 30 inches of snow blocking our driveway. One call and I had professional and friendly service in under 2 hrs. A true pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this company."

"Would only communicate via email. Never returned my calls. Scheduling was a problem. Wanted to be present for the review/quoting of the driveway as there were cracks that I thought needed filling. Tried to call after first application of sealant. The edges were not covered. The second application was better, but there are still a few spots that are thinly covered. The areas with the small cracks were coated thicker and appear okay. Sealant is supposed to last 3 years. Time will tell if the sealant holds up as well as the stuff sold at Home Depot."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

To prepare for a land survey, you must thoroughly check your land surveyor’s qualifications, reviews, and fees to align with your expectations. When it is time for the survey to be conducted, ensure that you have all your documents organized and available, know and mark your property lines, and inform your neighbors that the survey is happening.

A few different types of land surveys can help determine certain features and boundaries of your property. These include:

  • Boundary surveys describe the actual borders of a property. These are generally required when trying to get construction permits issued.

  • Location surveys provide much of the same information as a boundary survey but also include in-depth information about any improvements made to your property.

  • Mortgage location surveys are usually required by lenders and title companies before financing or offering an insurance policy.

  • Site-planning surveys are done before applying for building permits and can be issued before any major home improvements.

  • Topographic surveys provide a formal map of land elevations. It can also describe the location and size of natural features and any land improvements.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

Pros will assess your soil type, property geography, and rain patterns for optimal slope.
