"I ordered a new Chromebook. They sent me a fake "your item shipped" notice. After I didn't receive it in time for a birthday present (because it hadn't shipped yet), I I told them to cancel and refund my money. I never received a refund because they lied again and they shipped it anyway. It was not even in a box as a new Chromebook, not the same chromebook I ordered, had a huge 3" crack by the keyboard, mouse pad is pushed in, the word "IT" is scratched in the screen, and it is filthy dirty."

The screen on many screen doors is held in place by screen spline. Screen spline is typically a thin vinyl tubing that fits into the groove of the door’s frame and holds the screen in place. To install the spline on a screen door, you’ll need a spline roller—a tool that presses the spline and screen into the door’s narrow groove. Note that old spline can crack and break, so replacing your screens is a good time to replace the spline, too.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.

If your door has interchangeable inserts, you’ll likely want to swap the glass out for a screen during the summer months. The process to do so will vary by door, but you’ll follow these general steps: First, use a flathead screwdriver to pop out the retainer strips—the plastic strips running down both long (and sometimes all four) sides of the door. Then gently pull them out by hand. Carefully remove the glass insert from the door and replace it with the screen. Finally, push the plastic retainer strips back into place, working from top to bottom.

If you only need a small repair for your window screen, it’s likely more cost-effective to repair rather than replace it. However, if you have to make the same repairs to a hole in the screen, for example, then it may be worth replacing the screen altogether. On the other hand, if the cost to make repairs to the screens or frames exceeds 50% of the cost to replace, you may want to consider replacing the window screens in question.
