"I am extremely satisfied by choosing Moose Flooring for my project. They had a challenge ahead of them correcting a poorly installed & aging carpet. Since my upstairs carpet looks new there were rolls of wrinkles (tripping hazards) through the hallway & into the bedrooms and extra carpet bubbling up on every wall. Owner & associates were able to completely transform the upstairs carpeting & it looks new again. The professionals were well qualified to accomplish the task. Actually, I couldn't believe the amount of carpeting they removed but the result was what I hoped it would be. The price was reasonable & the workers professional."

Customers say: True professional

"The ETown Team are such a pleasure to work with! Very pleasant individuals and interactions with them are usually easygoing, an important aspect of business/client relationships which factors heavily into my overall rating. Their job is often thorough and they have no problems discussing and taking care of any issues that arise. I have already recommended this cleaning service to friends and neighbors and would continue to highly endorse them."

"Apparently, many carpet installers today are Mexican/Hispanic. The installer spoke fairly good English. His helper spoke none. Other than that, they did an excellent, very professional job. The helper was a go-for. He took out and removed the old carpet and runners, swept and vacuumed, as well as brought in the rolls of new carpet. The installer is probably one of he hardest workers I've ever seen. He worked his butt off and did a fabulous install. Wow. Very impressive!!!"

"Excellent service! When we lived in Maryland, I had used Stanley Steamers, but here in Pennsylvania, I decided to try this carpet cleaning business because it was on Angie's List with good reviews. Belles' did an amazing job on my carpets, which had never been cleaned since we had them installed four years ago. Our daughter and her now-2-year old lived with us for several years and the bedroom they slept in had so many spots on the carpet from the baby spilling things and generally making a mess. But Buddy at Belles Carpet Cleaning did such a good job that the carpet looks like new! I never thought this would be possible. See before and after photos below."

"I used World Flooring to install carpeting in our 3-bedrooms, living room, and basement. Daniel did an excellent job in explaining and showing us the carpet options available to us. I took the time to visit his retail store in Harrisburg to get a better visual of the carpeting options available. There is a myriad of carpeting colors and grades to choose from. He was awesome to work with. He was very patient, professional and knowledgeable. The pricing was very competitive as well. The installation was subcontracted to Brian and Nick who have over 30 years of carpet installation experience. They were on time, and got to work immediately and performed quality work. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves as well. If you're in the market to have new carpeting installed in your home, I would highly recommend contacting Dan at World Flooring to at least get a price estimate and his suggestions."

"I was not there to meet Andrew and we had a little confusion with getting payment to him but he still was as nice as could be and did an EXCELLENT job. Our carpet was really bad in our master bedroom = when Andrew was done I was amazed. Thank you Heaven's best for doing such a great job. I will definitely recommend them to anyone that needs their carpet cleaned. It was a great job for a GREAT price."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet glue is very sticky, but it's not permanent. The glue usually lasts as long as a typical carpet installation, which is five to 15 years. For the best results, you should always use the right type of carpet glue for the area you're using it in. There are carpet glues for high-traffic areas, which are more high-quality and durable than others.

Taking carpet off stairs is an easy but multi-step process you can usually do yourself. If you have the right tools, time, and oomph to finish the job, removing carpet from stairs can be an easy-to-medium difficulty task, depending on your stairs, the type of carpet installed, and how willing you are to get your hands dirty. It’s important to review the process, gather the right tools before you begin, and follow a tutorial or directions while you work.

When it comes to flooring installers, licensing laws vary from state to state. Even if your state doesn’t require your flooring installer to have a license, your municipality or city might, so it’s a good idea to check with your town before getting started. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines.

Hiring an unlicensed flooring installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Carpets in earthy, neutral shades should go with everything. Specifically, colors like beige, cream, and gray pair well with other neutrals and more vibrant colors. If you’re concerned about your carpet clashing with your walls or furniture, stay away from loud colors and complicated patterns, which could distract from the rest of your decor.

To prevent your dining room carpet from slipping, consider using rug pads or grippers underneath to provide traction and stability. Additionally, ensure the carpet is properly sized and secured to the floor to minimize movement. Regularly check and readjust the rug to maintain its position and safety under your dining room table.
