"I hired them to come out and clean a couch that was donated to us but we noticed had some mold. They arrived on time, were very professional, did an amazing job, and price was very reasonable. My couch now has a clean bill of health."

"We hired them to do a deep cleaning of my parents' house of 50 years, prior to it being listed by a realtor. The two women who came were very friendly and responsive to all our requests. Their vacuum, however, looked very inadequate, so they used ours. Also, the women didn't bring any oven cleaner. One said she doesn't use it due to her asthma. After two attempts with her spray bottle (not sure what was in it), the oven was still not clean. So we supplied her with oven cleaner and she did clean it a third time, this time to our satisfaction. Other than that, they did a very good, thorough job overall and we would recommend them."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

How often you change your air filter depends on your home and lifestyle. Things like how many people are in your home, pets, the season, the size of your home, the air quality where you live, and more all impact your HVAC system. The best practice is using visual indicators to determine when it needs changing by checking if light can pass through it. If you can’t see any light, it’s clogged and needs to be changed.

Yes, many professionals offer HEPA filter upgrades for improved indoor air quality and allergen reduction.

As a general rule, HVAC air filters should be replaced every one to three months (or every 90 days). However, the ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the filter type and your home's environment. For instance, if you use thinner filters (1-2 inches deep), have pets, have household members with allergies, smoke indoors, or frequently keep windows open, you may need to change the filter as often as once a month. It's best to follow the manufacturer's recommendation as a guideline and visually inspect the filter monthly to see if it's dirty. Regular filter changes are crucial for maintaining proper airflow, good indoor air quality, and efficient HVAC system operation.

A correctly installed air filter will fit snugly in its compartment. One that’s too thick or big won’t lie smoothly, and it can block the airflow, sometimes resulting in strange noises. A filter that’s too small or improperly fitted may move around in the compartment, resulting in strange humming or vibration noises. Poor fitting can eventually cause a buildup of dirt in the HVAC ductwork, and reduced indoor air quality can lead to sneezing or excess dust on your surfaces.

Air filters with a high MERV rating, 11 or above, shouldn't cause airflow problems in most residential systems. However, the airflow can be restricted in some HVAC systems if they aren't designed for high MERV ratings. If in doubt, a local duct installer should inspect your ductwork so that you know what your system can handle.
