Purchase a new hot tub or pool from a swimming pool company you can TRUST in Shamokin, Pennsylvania. At Pool World Inc., we have the knowledge and experience to build your water refuge and finish the job correctly the first time. Established in 1989, we never compromise our quality for profit. As the first company to introduce fiberglass in-ground pools to Northeastern Pennsylvania in 1993, we know our customers respect our professional service and quality products. More than 68% of our business is based on referrals from customers satisfied with our above- and in-ground pools, hot tubs, and spas. In Swimming pool business for over 30 years. Current store in existence since 1989. Professionally installing Fiberglass pools since 1995. Installed over 2000 Fiberglass pools. We train new dealers for our fiberglass manufacturer, Sun Pools. Full time, In house installation crew, not summer help. Sun Pools distribution point for the northeast. 8-12 fiberglass pools on display at all times. Unlike most of our competitors, we do not just sell out of a brochure. 30-40 fiberglass pools in stock. This equals faster scheduling of installation and better prices. Unlike most of our competition who has to order each pool for each job. This means 4-6 week delays and higher prices. Pools are shipped to the jobsite by us, using our trucks and trailers. This equals fewer delays. Unlike most of our competition, who has to depend on their manufacturer's schedule and equipment which Increases delays and prices. Due to our extensive experience, in-house crews, and large inventory, we always have complete, up-front pricing. From excavation to swimming, it takes us approximately 10-12 hours to install your fiberglass pool. Expect our competition to be in your backyard at least a week. Our Fiberglass pools are always installed using a 1b stone base and 2b stone backfill. This creates a solid base for our pools that allows drainage of ground water from around pool. Unlike most of our competition that uses sand for the base; and sand or dirt from the excavation to back fill. This is not recommended in the northeast due to heavy underground frost conditions and does not allow proper drainage which increases the chances of a pool shifting or ?popping? from excessive hydrostatic pressure from ground water. We install well-points and run perforated drain pipe to daylight; this moves ground water away from the pool to relieve any hydrostatic water pressure for the life of the pool. Unlike most of our competition that relies on a $10 hydrostatic relief valve that has an expected service life of 6-8 years. Our fiberglass installations are covered by Harford Insurance against ?pop-outs? to give our customers added peace of mind.

We install Inground, Onground, and our combo pools made right here in Mifflinville PA. Hot tubs we carry are Cal Spas and Dynasty Spas. We offer financing and lay away.

", and actually might be. We BUYER BEWARE! If you’re in the market for a pool RUN DON’T WALK AWAY FROM THESE GUYS! This company is the worst. A total JOKE. I’m just one of many- Read the reviews-, their only positive review is a phony review from their own salesman, Danny Pisaante!. All the negative reviews here should be enough for anyone to stay away but for those who want details, read on: We recently bought a home with a Wilkes pool. We needed a new liner and apparently, unlike most every other pool brand, only their liner will fit. And guess what- their liners are 5 times more expensive! But what can you do, so I bit the bullet and called them to place an order. After 4 days of leaving messages and never getting a call back, someone finally answered the phone with “hello” ( first sign that this is a shoddy outfit). I asked who I was speaking to and he told me he was the owner, Christopher. I told him what I needed. He told me that he’d pass my number onto a salesman and they would get back to me. Several days passed so I called Christopher back and told him I had not yet heard from a salesman. He assured me that he would remind “Danny” to call me ASAP. Finally a week later Danny calls me . I told him exactly what I needed and gave him my credit card for payment and he told me he had my liner in stock and it should go out the next day. Two more weeks pass, no liner, I call Danny multiple times and leave messages asking him to please just send me the tracking number. Now over FOUR weeks and NO calls returned. So I called good old Christopher the owner back and tell him very politely that I’m a bit nervous since they have my credit card info and I have no liner AND his salesman isn’t even returning my calls. So Christopher’s idea of customer service is to tell me that he is fed up with my calls to him because this is not his problem, this is Danny’s problem! (here’s the BEST part). Christopher tells me that calling him is akin to if I had a bad spark plug in my Chevy and calling GM to complain! Comparing himself to GM would actually be hilarious if it weren’t so pathetic but I think Christopher may be experiencing some demensia and if so I do sympathize but it may be time for him to turn over the keys. Anyway, 5 weeks later I finally get my liner and of course the order is wrong. Wrong skimmer box, wrong corner cover, wrong gasket. But at least the liner was correct. Way to go, guys! Oh, and just to give you an idea of their price gouging, Danny inadvertently sent an invoice that included wholesale cost of each item- Liner cost-$375.00 my price, $1,500.00, Skimmer box cost $15.00, my price- $130.00, gasket cost $3.00, my price $33.00. This kind of price gouging ought to be illegalwill see…"

"DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO RENOVATE YOUR POOL. They will do the job, make a mess, create problems and once they have your check, Izabella will disappear. Renovated our pool in May, 2022 and was immediately notified of a problem with the quartzite finish. She disappeared for 21/2 months and until a call letting her know we would take further action, she finally showed up. Now, she is blaming us for the problems she created and is acting as though she is doing us a favor by suggesting a solution that may do further damage. AGAIN, I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH--DO NOT HIRE Izabella at PRICE RIGHT POOLS. Terrible!!!"

"The automatic pool cover business is dominated by a few large companies that become an effective monopoly after you’ve bought a cover from one of them and its exclusive local dealer. This manufacturer-dealer duo then has the opportunity to act exactly as you’d expect a monopolist would. In my experience, Solar Pool Covers took advantage of that power. The price for installing its equipment was good, and they did a good job installing it. But they have the option to get you on the repairs, where they have you over the barrel. On labor, they lowballed me on how much time they thought the repair would take and then worked slowly on the job (to be fair, it was a hot, muggy day). On parts, the manufacturer doesn’t disclose the price of parts on its website, except to its dealers. So Solar Pool Covers could mark up its parts price by a factor of five and then when I called them out on it acknowledge that they bundled the price of labor installing the part with the cost of the part. It was the first time I ever received a bill where labor and parts had separate line items (nothing unusual there)--but with the parts item including a hidden labor charge not in the separate labor line item. An additional part was also not listed specifically but under the larger more expensive system it was a component of, which effectively hid the name of the part that was replaced. After a service man does a job, I usually ask for a copy of the bill and then pay it then and there with a credit card. This dealer’s service man refused to give me the price of the job after it was finished, saying that he didn’t have time to fill out the bill and that time would need to be included in the bill. I’m giving them a C rather than an F because I had no problem with the work they did. The problem was the amount and way they charged for it."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

The safest pool fence depends on what you’re trying to protect against. If you’re concerned about children and pets, a fence with gaps between or under the material isn’t advisable, as they could get through it. Mesh fences tend to reach the height requirements needed for pool fence safety, although they are not the most durable. Solid fence types, such as wood, concrete, or stone have the best chance of protecting the surface area around a pool, so long as they are high enough to discourage anything, or anyone, from climbing over them.

Increases living space and adds value to the home through enhanced utility.

If you are installing a fiberglass pool, you may want to install or update your patio or deck at the same time to create a safe, comfortable place to sit and dry off or grab a bite to eat after swimming. You might also consider adding a hot tub to the mix, which costs $6,000 on average.

Sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs support greener construction options.
