"Nate immediately responded to my Angie's List inquiry. I texted him pictures of the ceiling damage and he gave me some initial feedback. I asked him to stop by and look at the ceiling. He did a thorough inspection and took the time to explain how plaster works, how it can be damaged and to answer our questions before providing a written estimate including the estimated start date and amount of time to complete the job. He asked for 1/3 of the total estimate up front. He had a crew of 2 capable people. He supervised them the first day and then came in at the end to inspect the work and get my approval before giving him the final payment. He communicated with me regularly on coordinating work times. They also were very careful to cover up with plastic and left very little mess. Note: we had 3-5 areas on the living room ceiling, 1 in the dining room, 1 in the kitchen, 2 in the bathroom, and 1 in the bedroom."

"Dick also painted the walls in two rooms after removing the wallpaper and painted the wood trim in both rooms and ceilings in three rooms. He was right on time for our initial appointment and thoroughly walked us thru the process that he was going to do. He is a professional and a gentleman and compares himself as an artist when painting. There are no sub-contractors, Dick is a work alone pro and exudes pride in his work. The price quoted for the job, I feel was very reasonable, much lower that what I thought it would be. Dick is a proud Marine veteran and I am a proud U.S. Air Force vet. My recommendation: HIRE A Vet ! Especially this man. I will definitely hire him again in the very near future and would hope that anyone who reads my review on Dick will hire him too."

I underestimated the amount of time it would take and he was not able to finish the job in the 2 hours purchased.  My only complaint is that his schedule was booked solid so he was not able to stay and finish.
