"Prasann was the window expert I dealt with and he was very nice in explaining the whole home genius process and giving me a good price on my windows. We went with the fusion model for the windows and he showed up to the estimate with a mask very cover friendly."

"None of the listed projects is what he has done for us, though he did decomission some water tanks in greenhouses. Brian has been our handyman for several years. The large, complex house generated a variety of problems. A friend recommended him when 2 others I tried were unable to solve greenhouse problems. Brian came up with solutions. He handled solatube leaks, painting, taking down a geodesic dome and turning the garden into a deerproof but exposed garden. He has fixed any problem that we have had. When we moved to a retirement home, the local repair people were unable to see how to mount a flat sculpture we have on the wall, but when we showed Brian the problem, he solved it immediately and neatly. He is a brilliant problem solver, completely flexible about all sorts of work, well supplied with the necessary tools (and can get helpers if needed). I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is superb and reliable."

"We had three gentlemen; Eric Davis, Jason Schaffer and Gage Fegley complete our project. They were very nice , knowledgeable and professional. If I had a question they would stop what they where doing and take the time to answer my question without looking like I bothered them. They where extremely polite and finished the job on time."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

To ensure the longevity and smooth functioning of new windows, regular maintenance is essential. This includes cleaning the glass and frames, inspecting seals for leaks or damage, and reapplying caulking as needed. It is also important to lubricate all moving parts and operating mechanisms to ensure they continue to operate smoothly.

Installing a basement window generally takes a few hours, assuming there are no structural issues you need to resolve first. If you’re a novice DIYer, the project could take longer; on the flip side, a licensed and trained window contractor may be able to replace multiple basement windows in the time it takes a homeowner to replace one.

The cost ultimately depends on size, but roughly, the most popular screen materials will set you back anywhere from around $0.25 to over $25 per square foot. Fiberglass and aluminum are usually less expensive at around $0.25 to $0.70 per square foot. Solar screens cost about $7.50 to $15 per square foot, while security screens range from around $10 to $25 per square foot.

Many kinds of window screens, such as solar screens, are designed to reduce the amount of harmful ultraviolet rays that pass through them and enter your home. The materials typically have UV-blocking properties. However, they may not completely eliminate all UV rays from passing through your home. Different window screens are designed for different purposes, and not all are designed to block or reduce UV rays. Do your research to make sure you’re getting the type of window screen to suit your needs.

On average, it cost $2,900 to rescreen a patio, porch, or sunroom, with homeowners paying anywhere from $800 to $5,200. The cost to rescreen a porch, patio, or sunroom enclosure depends on the size of the enclosure, the extent of the damage, and the materials used to replace existing screens.
