"Extremely happy with G&V Construction Services. Replaced a concrete section of my front porch and the roof posts. Brian and his crew did an outstanding job. They are very knowledgeable and talented. My location makes even the simplest task complicated but these guys were not intimidated. Working around the complexities was no trouble at all. I would recommend G&V Construction Services to anyone who wants quality workmanship by people who know what hey are doing. Angi needs to add a few more stars for these guys."

"I found the owner of the company to be very honest. When I met with Mr. Viohl abut what I wanted done. I told him, he gave me the cost and it ended up being pretty much at that cost. No hidden charges. They were responsible, trustworthy, and on-time every single day. They cleaned up everything, I never had to clean up after myself. all the workers were experts in the field. Highly recommend them. Easy to talk to. They answered all of my questions. The owner, Andrew Viohl, he's the most attentive person. He really wants his customer to be happy with the end result. You get top-notch response. They are prompt and will give you what you pay for. The follow-up is great, if there's something you need to discuss after the job they will address it for you."

"Hired a different contractor to install a new front door. They never completed the job even after several attempts calling them. Spoke to Wally. His guys came the next day and finished the work quickly, professionally and right. Should have used Wally in the first place."

"Gary and his team gutted and expanded bathrooms, installed wood floors, installed smart toilets, replaced countertops, kitchen sinks, electrical work, installed a whole house generator, installed ductless systems in areas of the house that needed additional heating /AC as well as replaced a few windows. Gary and his team were attentive to detail and open to suggestions and they all were friendly, efficient and good natured which is truly necessary on extended projects like ours."

"We had a terrible experience with another contractor who had left us high and dry and with a massive sanitation and safety hazard on our hands. Paul and his team were able to swiftly come in and address all problems as well as highlight design/layout choices made by the previous contractors that simply didn't make sense. They repaired items that had been damaged by the previous crew, swiftly got the remodel completed, and did so all while acting in a professional and courteous manner. The price was fair for the work and both Paul and his foreman checked in repeatedly over the next few weeks after completion of the remodel to ensure that everything was still in good condition, that we were still happy with the work, and to ensure there was nothing that we failed to think of or get addressed during the project. We would absolutely hire Paul and his crew for subsequent work in the future."

Small jobs welcome

"Fabiano messaged me promptly, and we set up a date and time for him to look over the job. He had lots of suggestions and input for what I was looking for. Fabiano is extremely friendly and personable. We felt at ease with him immediately. We went with his suggestions for the job, and they were perfect. He worked within my budget. We are extremely happy with Fabiano’s Construction, and will hire him again for our next project. I’d also like to add, Fabiano’s crew were neat and clean. They cleaned up after themselves each day. I can be picky about the finished product, and they delivered."

"Fantastic work. They showed up when they said they would, did the work agreed upon. Clean and courteous and kept us in the loop with any changes or additions. They are my contractors from here on out."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Bow windows need support because they are large and extend out from the exterior wall of the home. Bow windows may extend 1 foot to several feet from the outside of the home, so you’ll need to provide additional support to handle this weight. A window contractor will be able to provide the proper amount of support for your new bow window.

You may need a permit to install your window seat. Even though it's an indoor modification, some municipalities require permits for any built-ins added to homes. Check with your carpenter or, if you're DIY-ing, do some research on your city's requirements.

Professionals charge between $60 and $95 per hour to install ornamental porch columns. The amount of time they need varies based on the condition of the porch, whether they need to remove old columns, and if there is any damage to your porch's structure. This cost can increase if more issues come up during the installation process.

While framing a basement is not as difficult as finishing a basement, it's something you should typically leave to the pros. That’s because if something is installed correctly, it will affect your entire basement. However, you can take care of some of the smaller tasks, like filling holes or putting up some insulation.

Yes, you can hang picture frames, shelves, and other items on Trusscore panels. For lightweight items (less than 30 pounds), the company recommends using adhesive strips rather than nails or screws. However, you’ll need to secure heavier objects to a stud in the wall. In these situations, Trusscore recommends cutting away the panel material and fastening the object to the stud with metal hardware.
