"I found them on Angie's List. They came out promptly. It took the probably three weeks from start to finish and another week to do the touch-up work that I requested. When I called originally, the owner called me back on the weekend. He sent his foreman out to meet me the following week. He came out and we looked over the plans. They were excellent. They were timely and friendly. They were courteous and professional. They cleaned up on a daily basis after they did their work. Their concern was the total satisfaction of the customer. The crew matched the expectations of the foreman. The foreman matched my expectations. I was thrilled. They are fantastic. They were great."

"I called John for a project that needed several different repairs. Time was another issue that was also going to be a problem. I talked with John in the morning and he was able to come look at the project the same day. He called me with an estimate and verified that he could complete the job by the deadline. He completed the job and is very professional. I will use John Rooney again. Thanks again John. James"

"Brent came out and removed the railway ties that were surrounding an island in my yard. He also saw that I needed some additional work done to my trees and he did that also. He has very good designing skills and gave me some great ideals to move forward with on my landscaping designs. I highly recommend him to perform whatever type of landscaping and removal jobs that you might have."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Fountain maintenance is an important part of having a clean foundation in the first place. To keep your fountain water clean, you can use a water additive designed specifically to limit scale, algae, and other buildup in fountains. Or opt to use white vinegar as a pantry-ready water additive.

How many fish can call your pond home depends on the volume of the pond and the fish size. Your pond's filtration system also influences the number of fish that will thrive in a pond. A general rule of thumb is to have 1 inch of fish for every square foot in a pond that's 2 feet deep. Another rule of thumb you can follow is to have one koi fish for every 200 gallons of water or two goldfish for every 200 gallons.

One reason you may want to fill in your pond is the cost of maintenance. Pond cleaning may cost about $1,000 for an annual cleanup, or monthly visits may cost $75 to $100 per visit. If you don’t want to spend that much per year on pond upkeep, you may consider filling in your pond.

Yes, your fish should stay alive in a frozen pond if you winterize it properly. By ensuring your pond has enough oxygen, good water quality, and a hole to release harmful gases, your pond and fish have the best chance of staying alive and healthy. However, if you have tropical fish, they should be overwintered indoors.

Costs depend on design, materials, plumbing, labor, and optional lighting or filtration features.
