Small jobs welcome

"Edward called shortly after I submitted request for estimate and came out the same day to look over the work I needed done. I quickly received the estimates via email and was able to pay the deposit through a link. The work was done in a timely fashion given it was mostly outside work and the weather had to allow for the work to be done. Options regarding hardware needed for the job were provided. As the work was being done, if there were options on what the end result would look like he discussed them allowing me to decide how to proceed. All in all I am very satisfied with the finished work and Edward was easy to work with. I have kept his business card and would hire him again in the future."

Customers say: Quick response

"James possesses a knack for design as well as keen attention to detail. His pricing is competitive and often below what comparable services offer. I was well-pleased with his work. It turned out beautiful! In addition, he did a backsplash with arabesque style tile, put up a stove hood, installed a shiplap wall and redid framing around windows and doors, plus additional framing."

"You ever hire a contractor and they show up on time and you KNOW immediately that they know what they are doing? Nathan gives you that feeling. He knew the minute he looked at my door what to do to fix it. I ve have issues with my door for years and not even an hour later they are completely gone! Need I say more? Hire this guy and you won t regret it! I can t say it any better than that!"

"Guy who came and cleaned our gutters would not take a check made out to Baudassi Home Improvement. He had the check for $150.00 made out to cash. I never would have done this, but I was at work at the time. This made me very suspicious. When I pulled the cancelled check up online, signature on back was unreadable."

Grill Assembly questions, answered by experts

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.

The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.

Yes, professional services typically include venting, gas line installation, and necessary permits.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.
