"We needed new gutter guards installed on our shed. Jesse thoroughly cleaned the gutters and professionally installed the new guards. The gutters were approximately 20 feet above ground level, and Jesse completed the work safely and efficiently. He arrived exactly as scheduled and worked diligently until the job was fully completed. We were very pleased with his workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail."

"Caleb was very easy to work with from the initial phone call forward. Highly transparent and reasonable with his estimates and excellent communication throughout the job. We had high end LVP flooring installed after tile removal. Upon tile removal, he paid attention to every detail making sure the subfloors were level and reinforced. Caleb also has great craftsmanship with his flooring cuts and minimizes waste. Our flooring was a combination of mixed widths. He did a fantastic job of running the patterns through all rooms and matching up without any transitions. We would highly reccomend Caleb to anyone looking for a top notch and detailed contractor that will get the work done the way it should be."

"We have had the pleasure of working with Joe over the past 8 months on our house in Monessen. He quickly got us code ready and has continued to make improvements on our home, making it safer and more comfortable with each project! From installation of electrical outlets, light fixtures, water lines, hvac, new upgraded electric panel, flooring, full kitchen and bathroom demo and installation, window installation, hot water heater work, installing ALL appliances in the house, to turning a TERRIFYING basement into an art studio and laundry room, he truly does it all. He listens, brainstorms with us, and ultimately comes up with BY FAR the best and most cost efficient plans, then executes them beautifully. Or house is VERY old and challenging, but he always finds the fix. He is very trustworthy, I gave him our home's keypad code so he can do work while we're out out of state, never once had an issue. Always impressed when we return to a finished job. Book him!!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a hot or overheating outlet is a fire hazard and can cause a fire. An outlet becoming hot indicates an electrical problem, such as an overloaded circuit, loose connections, or a faulty component. The heat from these issues can ignite nearby flammable materials like curtains or furniture. If you notice an outlet is hot to the touch, turn off the power at the circuit breaker, unplug any connected devices, and consult a qualified electrician. If a fire does start, use a Class C fire extinguisher or baking soda to suppress it, or evacuate immediately and call the fire department.

You can fireproof an existing door to some extent, but it's better to remove the old door and replace it with a fire-rated model. Anything dealing with extreme heat needs rigorous testing and a door you DIY fireproof will not undergo the same safety measures as a premade one. Consider a door with a rating of at least 30 minutes or more in residential areas.

Yes, you can close off a fireplace both temporarily and permanently with extremely wide price ranges. Temporary solutions involve fireplace plugs that can be inflated to block air and deflated to open the fireplace, covers, and boards. Permanent methods of shutting off fireplaces usually involve bricking up the fireplace or covering it with drywall. No matter the method, it’s probably best to hire a professional.

Smoke detectors come in two different options: hardwired or battery-operated. While hardwired units are attached directly to the home’s electrical system, a battery-operated smoke detector only needs a simple battery for operation and can be placed virtually anywhere in your home. Some homeowners may mistakenly think their battery-operated units are hardwired in because all their units are interconnected, but many battery-operated units can operate within a smoke alarm network in your home.

If your oven is new, then it’s likely that the oven smoking is due to it being a new unit. In this case, you don’t need to worry about the oven smoking. However, if your oven is old, you can’t identify any burnt food or grease that could be behind the smoking, or you have concerns about the heating element, then you should hire an oven technician to inspect your unit.
