"A shoutout Bakers Waterproofing crews actually all three of them. We had three garages that need wall anchors. Along with vapor barriers, French drains & sum pump installation. All of them showed up on time & performed all the work to specification. Thanks to Charlie, Dave & Aden. Theron, Roger & Jacob. Finally Dave Allen, Cruz & Cameron. Enjoyed working with you all."

"It went great. Two of his guys showed up on time and got to work immediately. They were very professional and paid attention to detail. We ended up needing an area of the basement ceiling scraped and repainted after the guys worked on the garage floor, and the guys were able to quickly coordinate w/me and Gary for the time and cost required to do the extra work. About a week after the work was complete, we had a slight bit of water coming in the room under the garage again and I called Gary immediately. He showed up that day and discovered that the problem was with the garage drain. It sat too high to properly drain and was not sealed well. He asked if I had a tube of silicone caulking which I did, and he quickly caulked the drain. We have had no further problems and I wish I had called Gary much sooner."

"Waterproofing One did an amazing job installing a French drain, water well, removing an old sump pump that wasn't to code and installing a new one. Every time it would rain we would have water in our basement. After Waterproofing One came out we never saw water! We've had some extremely intense rain the past few months and not one drop of water in the basement! They were professional, reasonably priced, and were done in one day."

"My wife and I were skeptical with all the pushy salesmen with the big companies. So when this company came out we were shocked at how none pushy they were. They walked us through every option and gave us many options. Definitely not a one size fits all company for sure. The price was fair and the crew did a great job. We couldn't be happier with Ohio custom waterproofing!!"

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

You do not have to purchase a storm door if you have a fiberglass door. Fiberglass doors offer numerous advantages, including durability and the ability to stand up to harsh conditions such as low or high temperatures. Fiberglass doors also have excellent insulation properties, so you don’t have to add on a storm door if you’re looking for better temperature regulation inside your home.

The difference between a right-hand and left-hand storm door is where the handle is located. When looking at the door from the outside of your home, a right-hand storm door will have the handle on the right-hand side, while a left-hand storm door will have the handle on the left. Your storm door handle will be on the same side as your front door handle.

Yes, modular homes are typically safe for areas prone to hurricanes. In regions at risk of severe storms, local zoning guidelines often require that these dwellings be built using materials designed to endure strong winds and heavy rainfall, ensuring they meet the safety standards for such conditions.

Yes, installing or replacing a storm door is a manageable DIY project, especially for those with experience replacing regular doors. Many modern storm doors feature simple, pre-hung designs and come with the necessary hardware, making installation more convenient. With basic tools, a DIY installation is possible, though professional services can ensure proper alignment and weatherproofing. On average, installing a pre-hung storm door takes about four hours.
