The best type of paint to apply to stainless steel is epoxy paint. This material is also popular for painting over concrete and other floor surfaces because it creates a tough, durable surface. If you’re choosing a finish with less enamel, it will be difficult to cover without a little extra elbow grease. Sand a layer of the satin paint off first before going in with the eggshell finish. That way, the eggshell paint will have a better chance of adhering to the surface and will likely last longer.

Streaky trim paint can result from several factors, including improper application techniques and insufficient coats. If you use a brush too large or damaged, you’re more likely to get uneven coverage. Using the wrong paint for the surface can also mean it’s not opaque enough to get the right coverage and a smooth finish. Remember to keep drying times in mind if you’re doing multiple coats. Make sure the bottom layer is completely dry before adding another layer. Otherwise, the brush and drag and clump the different paint textures, leading to a streaky, bumpy mess.

Painting a wall involves multiple steps. First, clean and sand the wall to prepare the surface, then tape off any areas where you don't want paint to go. Next, shake or stir the paint in the can, then pour it into a tray. 

Dip a paintbrush into the paint can so that half of the bristles are coated. Use the brush to cut in or make a frame around the edges of the wall. Then, roll the paint roller in the tray, ensuring that it is evenly covered in paint. Roll the paint onto the wall in an "M" or "W" formation, making sure the paint is applied evenly.
