"Good guy, liked the fact he put paper down to walk on. Got it done. No mess looked good and I didn't have to have anything to do with it. That is the best part. Pretty good price I'm cheap and I think everything is expensive but it was fair. And they were out within a week. Will be getting estimates for other work I need done."

"I was impressed with the method to determine the damage to our roof - a drone! The drone transmitted pictures and established the area in need of repair. The crew arrived the day and time promised and replaced a section of shingles at a reasonable cost. The crew left the premises without even a trace of a discarded nail. I received a picture (taken by the drone) of the roof a day later. It appears to be quality work. I would not hesitate to call them again for future repair work."

"Owner was very professional when at my home. He had access when I wasn't home. He always cleaned up when he left and made sure that I could still "live" in the house while they went about their work. He painted the outside and inside of my house. He is a very hard worker and went out of his way to do a couple of things that were not in the contract. For that I was grateful."

Stucco FAQs, answered by experts

The average cost to repair stucco is about $1,600, with projects ranging from $250 for minor fixes to $6,700 for extensive work. The price is often calculated per square foot, typically costing between $60 and $120. Some professionals may charge an hourly rate of $40 to $50. The final cost depends on the extent of the damage, the type of stucco, your home's location, and whether there is underlying damage that also needs to be addressed.

Costs for specific repairs vary:

  • Cracks: $8–$20 per square foot

  • Holes: $250–$450 per hole

  • Water damage: $30–$50 per square foot

  • Chimney repair: $60–$120 per square foot

  • Recoating: $4–$5 per square foot

While you may be able to patch small cracks yourself, it is recommended to call a professional for major repairs to ensure the job is done correctly.

Stucco applied over brick can last 30 to 50 years or more when correctly applied and properly maintained. Stucco’s lifespan can be shortened by improper application, incorrectly mixed material, lack of preparation before application, and lack of maintenance. To get the most life out of your stucco siding, keep up with maintenance and repair any damage as soon as you discover it.

When cleaning stucco siding, it is recommended to use a pressure washer with a psi (pounds per square inch) between 1,500 and 2,000. This range provides sufficient power to remove dirt and grime without causing damage to the stucco surface. It's important to avoid using excessive psi as it can chip or crack the stucco.

Using a wider spray nozzle and keeping a safe distance of about seven to 10 feet from the siding helps ensure a gentle and effective cleaning process. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines and adjust the psi accordingly based on the condition of your stucco and the specific requirements of your pressure washer.

Hiring a professional for stucco repair ensures accurate diagnosis and application of appropriate techniques to prevent further damage. They deliver seamless results that maintain aesthetic appeal and prolong the exterior’s life.

Several clues suggest that your stucco is damaged or has underlying issues. Visual clues include discoloration, cracks, indentations, broken caulking, or visible mold. If you touch your stucco and feel any soft spots, that could also indicate a problem. If you notice any of these concerns, call in an inspector who can confirm your suspicions and help provide solutions.
