"Very great work! Not only is Terry honest but he is very professional and kind. He works with you and is not money hungry. Very sweet person and the price is very reasonable. Terry and his son put VCT tile flooring in my kitchen for me and put a white base to match the floors, and my kitchen floors look so much better than before. Terry made sure he did not leave until everything was done right. Terry is my floor person from now on because of his positivity and kindness. The goodness of his heart shows through him and his work. Thanks again for my floors 🌸🌸🌸"

"Debbie was very considerate of our restricted time because we wanted to do the flooring before we moved into our new home. She took time out of her handy schedule and came for measurements, and explained everything in detail. She pointed us in the right direction because we were new to this. Thanks to Debbie and her team, they managed to do the work in a few hours, and our floor looks and feels really good. Definitely recommend her service!"

"Steve refinished 3000 sq ft of 1960s original red ok floors for my primary residence. He did an AMAZING job bringing these floors back to life and probably it saved us thousands of dollars from having to install new floors. He’s a magician with wood — highly recommend."

"Very smooth. Steve and his team did a great job from quote to completion. Easy to communicate with and helpful every step of the way for someone who has not used this product before. Continue to get great compliments from our customers as to how the floor has transformed the feel of the office. Highly recommend for either commercial or residential jobs!"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Outdoor kitchens get wet and are sometimes next to pools. To avoid accidents, go with a non-slip material like concrete, brick, or rubber. Avoid materials like ceramic and porcelain, as they are known to be quite slippery. Wood and composite flooring can be slippery if untreated, so make sure to stain or finish these materials.

You can mop bamboo floors, but exercise caution to protect the material from excess moisture, which can seep into the bamboo, causing it to warp and well. Moisten a microfiber mop and wring it out until it’s just damp, or use a pH-neutral cleaner, as this will prevent damage to the bamboo fibers. Avoid harsh chemicals, like traditional floor cleaners. After cleaning, wipe the floor dry.

Laminate is a sturdy material that lasts 15 to 25 years if it’s properly maintained and isn’t damaged. Laminate with a higher AC rating lasts longer than laminate with a lower AC rating. For the most longevity, put laminate with an AC1 rating in low-traffic areas and use laminate with an AC3 or AC4 rating in high-traffic areas like entryways.

After carpet removal, prepare for new flooring by assessing the subfloor. You will want to address any imperfections to create a smooth and level base for installation. Remember, proper subfloor preparation is crucial for optimal new flooring results. Consider repairing and replacing damaged areas for a stable foundation. For both wood and concrete subfloors, consider sanding to remove any debris or adhesives remaining thoroughly.

To clean a subfloor after removing carpet, start by removing any leftover debris, such as stuck-on underlay, nails, or staples. Next, thoroughly vacuum the subfloor to eliminate dust, dirt, and loose particles. If adhesive residue remains, you can use an adhesive remover, a scraper, or a sander to gently lift it off. Finally, clean the surface by mopping or wiping it down with a damp rag and allow it to dry completely. This preparation is essential for ensuring new flooring adheres properly and to prevent bumps or wrinkles from forming.
