"The my bathroom vanity and toilet installation done very quickly, professionally and nicely mannered. The handyman Jordan did excellent job. He did my other projects- kitchen range hood, change some electric switches and fix my door, and remove patio gazebo and haul away. All in one handyman… EXCELLENT job by Jordan. I strongly recommend him."

"He was very knowledgeable . He did an absolutely terrific job. We are retired and had saved a while to have this project done. Jesus was kind and took the time to repair things that showed up. I would refer him to anyone. We will also be using him for all our next projects."

"Had Paul actually followed through on his assurances I might have given him high recommendations and more work. However the driveway repairs he performed did not go as expected for him and I ended up with less than what was promised. The job was to dig out and cold patch the cracked and sunken areas of the driveway, then crack fill and seal-coat. Apparently this was done on the hottest day of the year and a few days later, many of the cracks seemed unfilled. He agreed to come back and hot-patch to make things right but after a few weeks of excuses he stopped calling. The other job he did for me was very good so all was fair. C+"

Dock Building and Repair questions, answered by experts

The cost of a new dock can range from $3,000 to $30,000, depending on the extent of the project size, location, and additional features.

For example, a boat lift can range from $1,000 to $8,000. The ladder you'll need for your dock can be anywhere from $100 to $800, not including installation. In addition, the decking you'll need for your dock can cost between $15 and $30 per square foot.

Costs depend on dock type, size, materials, water depth, and labor.

When deciding how big of a dock you can build, you should check with your city and state for any restrictions. Some cities won’t allow docks larger than one-fourth of the width of a body of water, while others have no restrictions at all. Gather this information when you apply for your permits so you can plan the build accordingly.

The cost to build a new dock can range widely, typically from $5,000 to $65,000, with an average cost around $15,500. The final price depends on several key factors, including the dock's size, the materials used, the complexity of the installation, the depth of the water, the type of dock being built, and whether it is in fresh or salt water.

Building a dock is a complicated and time-intensive project, so professional builders typically take several weeks or several months to complete dock construction. Smaller docks in relatively shallow water may take two to four weeks to complete, while large or ornate docks in deep water could take up to six months. The timeline depends on the size and type of dock you want, the weather conditions in your area, and how ornate the construction needs to be. Your dock builder should give you an estimated timeline for construction along with your quote.
