"I had J & J install a 2" topping layer over my existing driveway last year. Had them back this summer to seal the driveway as per their recommendation. If they come back and seal the driveway every 2 years they will guarantee their work indefinitely. Good value."

Sealant comes in 5-gallon buckets that can cover up to 400 square feet. Measure your driveway to get the exact square footage, and remember to factor in enough sealant for two coats.

If you don’t want to seal the entire driveway using a squeegee, you can use a roller instead. Rolling the driveway sealer also provides an even, sufficient coating, although it might require more skills to control the speed and pressure. We don’t recommend spraying the driveway sealer because it would cause more splash, hence wasting more material. If anything, you may spray the sealant and go over the surface again with a squeegee to ensure proper coating.

You should always power wash your driveway before applying a sealant. At any given time, your driveway could be covered with algae and moss, tire residue, oil and rust stains, and any combination of leaves, twigs, and dirt.
