"As a longtime customer of Green Point Lawn Service, I can confidently provide a review of their business. Their service and results are superior. I have tried other big-name companies before and have been met with disappointment. Year after year, the Green Point team has been reliable, fair, and accommodating. They care about my lawn, my business, and my satisfaction. I highly recommend their services. My lawn improved significantly under their care. The office staff is wonderful too! They are always responsive! They return calls and reply to emails. They also offer online billing, which is quite convenient. If you want a healthier lawn, call Green Point."

"They quoted $525 to replace 13 boards on the back of the garage. He showed up and said he wanted an additional $200 because the correct wood was extra. I had him do the work and when I got home I found he only replaced 8 boards and two of the boards were cracked. I called them and he said he would do some caulking in the cracks. He said he would issue a credit to us and he would come out in a couple of days to see how the caulking worked and he never showed. I contacted the owner, Heather, by text and she was unwilling to work with us. She said they sent us a refund check and they had done all they could do to help us. She said they were not coming back out and that they were going to block our number. We have no invoice or bill and we are out about $700 because if this company"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

While dethatching first often makes the aeration process faster and easier, both actions can be done on the same day. Aeration can also loosen up the thatch, even if you have a harder time aerating the soil because the thatch got too thick. Because both dethatching and aeration have the common goal of making it easier for the soil to get water and nutrients, it’s safe and possible to do both at the same time.

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. Turn the compost over every few days. This process, called aerating, allows oxygen to get in and accelerate decomposition.

DIY is possible for small properties. Professional services ensure consistent quality and proper maintenance for large areas.

Treating dry soil can bring back a dormant lawn, but not a dead one. After nurturing a dry lawn back to proper moisture levels, you should closely observe whether your grass revives with the soil. If not, you may need to reseed your lawn or start fresh with new turf.

The best way to fix a lumpy yard depends on the cause. However, in many cases, you can address yard lumps by improving the health of your soil and turfgrass. Choose grass varieties that are best suited for your area and look for disease-resistant varieties. Fertilize and water your lawn as needed to keep it looking lush throughout the warmer months. Mow your grass at a height of 2 to 3 inches once or twice a week.
