"I would not trust my driveway to be swept by George or any related companies. The DrivewayLady(apparently his wife) referred us to George; he quoted work, 'installed' the product in our breezeway after starting unannounced, and with no one home. After following all directions, the solution (an epoxy-stone coating) was not working or lasting. He and his crew did not know what they were doing, and failed to admit, or correctly resolve the issue(s); citing a '2 year guarantee'. They proceeded to pave our driveway, which went much nicer initially, until he damaged our downspout and only sort-of repaired it when called out on it. After multiple remediation attempts, everything was failing. Long story short, he has multiple small claims decisions against him, and is well known to the court systems for dishonest work. He still has not paid his ordered debts, nor offered a real solution. Save your money and headache- choose anyone, ANYONE else."

"My experience with Pine Creek Structures was very good - from my first visit with the site manager - Chuck, to the final installation by their team. Chuck was super easy to work with, and gave me a lot of helpful input as I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted at the outset of the project. He also gave me solid advice to assist me in working with the township officials to obtain permits. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for any type of outbuilding."

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

Sand and gravel are two suitable options for filling behind a retaining wall. If you’re building your own retaining wall, you’ll complete this part of the process—known as backfilling—after you finish laying the blocks. Make sure not to skip it—otherwise, you could wind up with drainage issues, which can cause your retaining wall to collapse.

Most railroad tie retaining walls have a life span of 20 to 30 years, though you may need to replace your wall sooner if it’s repeatedly exposed to heavy rain, runoff, and excess moisture. Railroad ties are typically treated with creosote, which makes them much more durable than untreated wood. Though they last longer, they don’t last forever. For the most longevity, make sure your retaining wall has a sturdy base and steel reinforcements. You should also install drainage to direct water away from the wall.

Yes, including patterns, finishes, and plant integration for aesthetic enhancement.

Costs depend on material type, labor rates, and additional features like decorative finishes or reinforcement.

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.
