"Tyree is a nice guy but he just does not seem to understand the importance of timelessness along with producing quality work, committing to a professional job done right that looks good on the inside and outside, and being timely. He did not use correct tools to install a kitchen cabinet. This should be a slam dunk, but it wasn't and ultimately I advised him to replace the sink cabinet...he did buy a new one...where he then used the correct tool to cut holes for the hot & cold water/dishwasher. He installed my bathroom floor after the bathroom was totally gutted. He didn't know the floor needed to be raised so that the flange sat approx a quarter inch above the finished tile floor so that the toilet would sit flush with the floor enabling a stable toilet install. To correct it he went on to sub-contract this work to an unlicensed plumber to remove the flange & cut the drain pipe to install a new flange a quarter inch above the floor. He admitted that he didn't now cause he only had past experience installing floors on new construction homes at least this is what he told me. He actually wanted to cut the flange himself and when I asked him if he had done it prior he said no so he was trying to learn & train while charging me as an experienced professional. I hired TnT including a two man crew. The first few days of the first week, they showed up around 9 and work full days. After about the 2nd or 3rd day Tyree showed up various times in the afternoon and worked half days while his helper showed up the full week at 9 and worked full days. One day the helper was totally Solo and Tyree...Well he was was a no call no show and his helper said he tried to reach him by phone and text and Tyree never responded. This two man crew became a one man crew in the following week. I didn't have to ask why. If your the lead then You can't lead from behind. During this 2nd week, Tyree didn't get much work done. He completed some of the unfinished painting and completed some of the paint touch up. Might I also add most of the primary painting had already been done by the helper/2nd guy and Tyree work on the floor flange debacle. Neither the sink, full toilet or tiling was completely installed. I had to consistently monitor Tyree and the work done... My guidelines were: Let the work be professional, Let it be done correctly, and let it look nice. That's why I hired a professional or at least this was my goal. Tyree finally started Friday of the 2nd week tiling the tub surround but I had to remind him that the soap dish was missing and had to remove tiles to install it as well the soap dish didn't hold in place. The tiles were not cut to fit the uneven wall corners and the border system used at the end of the tiled wall edge, large open spaces between the tile and walls means that the tile adhesion to the wall is weak as well as general tile spacing issues. Since the gray grout on white tiles would make imperfections very very noticeable and coupled with Tryees ttitude that there is no correction to be sought after and having to question so many things so many times I had to let Tyree go. This was definitely my breaking point. I asked him to stop working and leave the premises. TNT was hired to do a complete job - What was done: Painting (95% complete), install a new kitchen (40% complete), and install a new bath (30% complete). By the end of week two had paid 2 of 3 payments for all jobs by this time at least one of the rooms and entire paint job should have been completed. As you can see Tyrees multi-tasking to completion needs improvement. Based on how he handled my contract he needs more training and/or more work under a licensed professional before taking on more contracts himself. My contract with him was for a rental so not being timely was a real issue. Base on my experience with T..."

The typical mobile home renovation costs around $20,000, with a normal range of $10,000 to $20,000 for a single-wide and $15,000 to $30,000 for a double-wide. Your total will depend on a bunch of factors, including the quality of materials you use (for things like the cost of new mobile home flooring and plumbing fixtures), how much your contractor charges, and the size of your mobile home. The extent of the remodel matters as well. If you’re doing a full gut renovation, you can expect to add between $10,000 and $20,000 to your base price.
Below are some questions we recommend asking a contractor before hiring them for your mobile home remodel:
Do you specialize in mobile home work? If not, have you done it in the past?
Are you licensed and fully insured?
Can you share a list of referrals?
Will you subcontract any of the work?
Will you handle permits for the mobile home renovation, if applicable?
You can also ask your contractor about their work and payment schedules, as well as a timeline for the project completion so that you’re both on the same page.
There are a few things you can do to keep your bathroom remodel as affordable as possible in your mobile home:
Ask your contractor to replace caulk and grout rather than retiling
Ask your professional to refinish your tub/shower rather than replacing
Upgrade your sink fixtures rather than replacing the sink
Upgrade cabinet hardware and ask your remodeler to refinish the cabinets
Avoid changing the layout of your bathroom
Any professional that does work on a traditional home with a permanent foundation can work on a mobile home as well. However, it’s best to find a company that specializes in mobile home work. Not only will this help ensure your contractor has the experience necessary to get the job done properly, but it will also save you time in the research phase.
Some general contractors, plumbers, and electricians won’t agree to work on mobile homes, even though they’re licensed to, in large part because of the specialized skills needed to anticipate and fix problems that may arise during construction.
