"The basement experts came in and patched up my wall around my well pump line that was leaking. I was getting water all along my front wall and two side walls when we got good rains. We’ve had several hard downpours the past few weeks since they did their work and haven’t gotten a single drop of water! Best price I found and great work. Can’t beat it thank you!"

"Received quick response and appt for the next day. They have been in business 30something years. Easy financing with decent rates hired them and they were there the next day to start and finish the project. Looks professional. Workers were focused on the job. I completely stayed out of there way and let them do what they came for. Great Compny. I have other projects that need to be done in the future and will call them back"

"We had an issue with water on the floor around the water heater.  Unfortunately when it happened Pocono Plumbing was on vacation.  We had to call some other plumbers to come out and take a look.  We had two companies come out who told us we needed a new water heater and we got estimates around $1200 and $1400.

We decided that we wanted to wait for him to come back to find out what his quote would be.  When we had Pocono Plumbing come out he told us we did not need a new water heater and it was a back up issue that he could fix fairly easy.  He fixed the problem for $150 and we have never had any problems with it.

He is a great plumber and very honest."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.

DIY is possible for small systems like French drains. Professional installation ensures proper grading and long-term effectiveness.

The regulations around whether drain pipe installers need to hold licenses or certifications differ based on where you live and the type of drain pipe installed. Municipalities have varying rules and regulations about who can and can’t perform plumbing work. However, we recommend hiring a certified plumber to install or modify your drain lines. Licensed plumbers will perform a high-quality, professional installation, which translates to a lower risk of clogs and leaks in the future. Use Angi’s state licensing tool to confirm the license status of your potential plumber before hiring them to install your drain pipe.

Installing a sump pump takes a bit of know-how, but it is possible to do it yourself. You’ll need to familiarize yourself with details like where sump pump water goes to avoid creating new flooding risks. If you’re doing the work yourself, it’s recommended to bring in a pro for a quick inspection afterward so you can be sure your home is protected from any water damage concerns.

If you hire a professional, installing a new sewage ejector pump costs $850 to $3,500, or an average of $2,300. Otherwise, if you handle the installation yourself, you can expect to pay $500 to $1,000 for the sewage ejector pump, permits, and other supplies required for this DIY project.
