"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"JND Construction was perfect for what we needed. I needed a doorbell installed in our office on EXTREMELY short notice. Dallas was able to meet me the next morning at 7am and had the job done before lunch time. They were very professional, quick, and to the point. THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

Small jobs welcome

"There are not enough categories to mention all the skills and experiences I have had working with Todd Schneider of Schneider Dynamic Solutions! Being a REALTOR, it is a relief and a pleasure to be able to recommend someone to my clients with a peace of mind, knowing he is trustworthy, honest, skilled, hard working and definitely a perfectionist! Todd will make sure the job is done right, and that is far more valuable than just some quick patchwork. Your home is very likely your most valuable asset. Everyone I have recommended him to has been more than pleased, and that is important to me to have that confidence. I have recently hired him personally for painting, woodwork and countertops. His work is better than the original builders!! He also had built some adirondack chairs we have had for about 15 years now! If you are looking for top quality workmanship that lasts, at a very fair price, I highly recommend Schneiders Dynamic Solutions!"

"Shane is a high caliber handyman. Trustworthy, reasonably priced, and professional. He has been used for many house projects from installing gutter guards to installing a water softener filtration system. All projects went well and were of top quality. Highly recommend. In my experience, it is very rare to find an honest person in business so look no further."

Closets questions, answered by experts

To prevent sagging, consider both the material and the span of the shelf. Using sturdy materials such as plywood or solid wood can provide better support than particleboard. Additionally, limiting the shelf span to 36 inches or less can reduce the risk of sagging. For longer shelves, incorporating center supports or brackets can offer additional reinforcement.

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

Common materials include wood, laminate, and wire. Choose based on durability, style, and budget.

Plywood offers excellent stability and strength for drawer construction. Baltic birch plywood provides a premium appearance, while standard hardwood plywood offers good value. Solid wood works well but requires more attention to grain direction and seasonal movement.

Bedrooms and living rooms generally cost the least to remodel. Of course, the project price will depend on what you're planning to do to the space and the cost of the materials you choose to incorporate. Prices are typically lower than those of other remodels because major plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work isn't often part of remodeling these rooms.
