I specialize in flooring installation and repairs. From click together and floating, to sheet vinyl, lvp, vct, carpet, all the way to tile and anything in between, I've worked with it, installed it, and most likely repaired it. I also hang, finish, and that's right, repair drywall and I do interior painting . Sure, A lot of people are capable of "doing the job" but many lack the ability to look at the "finished job" with a meticulous eye that I have. The final clean up, and polishing , caulking nail holes in trim, etc, I've seen people rush through and skip it, especially on a Friday. From start to finish your project will be treated as top priority because it is, and until you give the final nod, I'm not done. I started as helper in this field and worked my way to installer for a couple big name companies in Erie and even though they're great companies, I decided I'd rather work for myself and the customer directly. Far less communication break downs, mix ups, and over all problems if there isn't 20+ trucks going out to worry about. With low overhead I'm sure I can come up with an estimate that satisfies every budget. I'm also fully insured for that added piece of mind.

Handyman Services questions, answered by experts

The average handyperson charges $50 to $150 per hour. The exact amount varies based on several factors, including where you live, the difficulty of the job, and the handyperson’s level of experience. Other factors like the cost of travel, permits, and materials might come into play, too. Customers should also anticipate a minimum flat rate of around two hours of work for a handyperson to agree to a job.

Whether or not you’re moving the hookups or simply replacing your current units, you should hire a qualified appliance pro to install your new washer and dryer.

It’s worth asking a handyperson a few questions before hiring to ensure they’re the right person for the job:

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Do you have any references?

  • Will you provide a written estimate and contract?

  • How much do you expect materials to cost?

  • How long do you expect the project to take?

  • Do you have any questions about the projects on my list?

  • Do you provide a guarantee for the job?

Hiring a handyman costs around $400 per project, but the total could range from $65 to $1,500 or more, depending on the type of project and how long it takes. Most handypeople charge on a per-hour basis, usually around $90 per hour. Less experienced handypeople could charge as low as $40 per hour, while experts or highly experienced handypeople may charge up to $140 per hour. Here are some additional factors that affect your pricing:

  • Amount of time the job takes

  • Difficulty level of the work

  • Material costs

  • Accessibility of the work area

If a contractor is in breach of your contract, sometimes it is possible to collect damages for unreasonable delays. However, such claims can be expensive and difficult to prove. If there’s a way to complete the work and maybe negotiate for a discount for some of the inconvenience, that might be a simpler and cheaper way to resolve any disputes.
