"First, Justin and his helpers are nice people. Mostly they did a decent job of putting in a swale along the back of my house to divert surface water runoff. As the estimate did not include the width and depth of the swale, I followed up by email and Justin replied that the swale would be 6 feet wide and 6 inches deep. That's what I wanted. Justin actually dug the swale 6 feet wide and 12 inches deep. As 12 inches is too deep, water pooled at end of swale instead of running off. Justin then wanted to sell me a gravel-filled well, which I declined. Justin then agreed to partly fill in the lower 15 feet of swale where the water pooled. This mostly fixed the pooling, but not entirely. As the 12-inch deep swale as dug was too abrupt to mow with my 42-inch lawn tractor, I asked Justin for an estimate to lay a strip of sod down the middle of the swale to make it more shallow. Never got the estimate, although I followed up by text and their web site. Simply ignored me. I was surprised and disappointed by this bit of rudeness. If the job was not wanted, they could simply have said they were booked. After wasting time waiting for a reply, I ultimately hired someone else to install the sod.show more
