Good afternoon. I just moved in the area about 3 years ago and Ive worked for various contractors in this area. I know I'm super efficient with the way my jobs are handled. I decided to take a leap of faith and go into business for myself. I am familiar with just about everything that has to do with a house. I am only one person, but I can do fairly big jobs that comes with painting, interior, drywall hanging and finishing, roofing, power washing, sidewalk cleaning, picture hanging, window and door installation, gutter clean outs, and much more. I dont give any hidden fees when I quote my jobs. The quote I give is the quote you get.

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

No, your deck will not rot under artificial grass as long as it is installed properly. When installed correctly, the artificial grass features a drainage system that prevents rotting. Simply laying artificial grass on top of the decking without proper installation will not lead to an effective drainage system that prevents rotting.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.

It is possible to repair wet, rotted wood, but it depends on the extent of the damage. If the wood is severely decayed, it may be necessary to replace the affected sections entirely. However, if the rot is relatively minor, you can attempt to repair it. Start by removing any wet or decayed wood, allowing the area to dry thoroughly. Then, you can apply a wood hardener or consolidant to strengthen the remaining wood fibers. Finally, use epoxy wood fillers to fill in the damaged areas, shaping and sanding them to match the original wood surface.

There are several methods of supporting a balcony. Very small balconies, such as Juliet balconies that don't include any usable floor space and don't need to support human weight, may simply require supporting bolts drilled into the home's structure. Cantilevering is a method that requires no additional exterior supports, and larger balconies typically need posts and footings to carry the weight from below.

When installing deck boards, screws are a better option than nails. For one, screws have more holding strength than nails, so they’re better at keeping your deck boards in place. Also, nails are more likely to pop out of the boards than screws, which can create a tripping or poking hazard on your deck.
