"It was the most unpleasant stressfull experience I ever had! We agreed for 250$, guy come out with Husky dog, was smoking cigares while working. He knew house size, was here before. After work was done he asked for 400$!! When I asked why, he started to bully me, moved big heavy card on our parking lot, then asked for 500$ , and my credit card number. He also was threatening me that he will come back and brake my gutters! Scam! Awful services, not professional at all."

Oxidation is what causes copper to turn green. This oxidation is called a patina or verdigris, and in general, the process can take a few years. Your local temperature and humidity conditions play a big role, however; some gutters may not begin to turn green for 20 to 30 years if you keep them clean and maintained. Gutter guards can slow down the process of getting clogged gutters, but they won’t technically reduce your chances of it happening. They’re not a permanent solution. Instead, they’re a temporary fix where after some time, leaves and debris will continue to build on top of them and make your gutters less effective. Periodically cleaning your gutters is the best way to reduce the chances of them clogging.

They’re more affordable than other materials because they’re easier to install and more lightweight—which, unfortunately, also makes them less durable. The gutter gauge is a measurement of the thickness of the gutter material. If you have gutters that are too thick and heavy for the screws and brackets holding them in place, they may sag.
