"Hardwood floor refinishing. Initially, Tim was very responsive. He came to my house and gave an estimate that I thought was reasonable. But… When it came time to do the work he sent to Two guys I had never met. When talking to Tim, I was under the impression that he did the work. They did the work but I wasn’t happy with it. The finish was dull and puddled and there were gaps in between the planks that were not filled. I called Tim and after a few days he did return my call. he came out and said that they needed to put on another coat of finish on. He said he would send his “best man”, which left me wondering who he sent the first time. A different guy came out, he put another coat on the floor which looked a little better, But once it dried it was the same dull, scratchy Looking finish with puddles and gaps in between some planks. I Called Tim back again and he said he would come out on the following Wednesday to check it out. He never showed, never answered repeated phone calls and did not even reply to a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. My mistake was paying them before the floor was dry. Don’t hire this guy he’s a scammer does shoddy work."

It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. The first step to resealing is a thorough steam cleaning of the tile and grout. You can do this by renting a tile and grout cleaner for $80 a day. Once you’re done cleaning the floor, it’ll cost $30 to $40 per quart for sealant. Or, you can hire a pro who will charge $1 to $2 per square foot for cleaning and resealing services.

Quartzite countertops are porous, meaning that liquids can seep into the stone and stain them. You’ll need to seal them before installing and resealing annually, depending on use and stone material. Sealing will help prevent stains and etching. On the other hand, you don’t need to seal quartz and other engineered stone countertops since they aren’t porous.

Regular sealing, pH-neutral cleaners, and avoiding acidic substances help maintain their appearance and longevity.
