"Replaced a sliding glass door and wall window with a large window and did all the drywall work that was necessary. The Anderson folks worked very hard and their craftsmanship was excellent."

"The windows are fantastic. Ty is an amazing salesman; explaining everything about the windows. They have made a great improvement to my home. We love them. We are now having DaBella install a new roof. can't wait for that to be completed and expect to love it just as much. Dustin an Ty have been great to work with throughout this project."

"Our team was composed of six Ukrainian guys (Vasy, C.B, Vitoliy, David and Taras, led by "Joe") who replaced 16 windows and 2 sliding glass doors in only two days. The workmanship of the crew was exemplary and our questions and concerns were answered and addressed fully. The crew worked well together and we could not have asked for a better experience. We are very happy with the finish work both inside and outside each window and door. There remains only some "touch-up" painting for us to do but everything is properly caulked and trimmed out. We paid a lot of money for this job but in our estimation it was well worth the expense. Good work guys!!"

"Came over, inspected the site, explained the process and options clearly. The provided a straightforward estimate and stuck to it. They showed up exactly on time for both the estimate and installation appointments. The caulking, about an hour's work, was done at no extra charge. They worked quickly and neatly. The skylights appeared to be of very good quality. We are very satisfied with the results.

"I was contacted by Anthony at Central Home Installation on Monday morning. We discussed sliding doors, he recommended a Pella that they carry at Lowes. We went to Lowes, purchased the door, and Anthony called me on Tuesday morning to schedule installation. It is now Wednesday and the door is done. Not only were they quick and efficient, but they went out of their way to make it look great!"

"Vortex Filtration Inc is a excellent company with vast experience & knowledge in conditioning potable well water. I recommend Vortex Filtration Inc to design build and install their patented Vortex water system to solved all well water conditioning issues. My client had a problem for over tens years prior to the installation of the Vortex system. Once installed, the well water in the holding tank was crystal clear. Thanks Vortex!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

The best (and safest) glass for glass walls is tempered and laminated glass. These types of glasses work well for walls because they are durable against impact and heat.

Glass block windows come in various patterns and styles that offer privacy and unique aesthetics. Frosted or textured glass diffuses light and enhances privacy. Wave-pattern glass blocks imitate ocean waves with flowing lines. Ice-glass blocks resemble cracked ice. Fluted glass blocks feature parallel vertical grooves, adding texture and depth. Clear glass blocks, similar to glass Coke bottles, offer transparency with some distortion and may have smooth surfaces or subtle textures, adding visual interest.

DIY is possible for small mirrors. Professional installation ensures secure mounting for large or heavy mirrors.

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.

When glass shatters, larger shards quickly drop to the ground, but smaller particles can go on an airborne journey up to 15 feet from the point of impact. So check under furniture, along the edges of rugs, and in dark corners for glass fragments. When in doubt, vacuum the entire room a few times after thoroughly cleaning.
