"Joe was our contact and did all the work. He was excellent. They promptly provided a Bid at a very fair price, followed through with quick service. Joe is very knowledgeable and helpful in getting you what you want and then doing an outstanding job. He even helped me put a sliding in and out while I was replacing its rollers. We highly recommend Deschutes Deck Care."

"Very nice job.  Jim & his crew spent one day power washing & cleaning the decks & railings .  He was back in a couple days to re-stain them.  Although the initial estimate didn't include any major sanding, because the cleaning was unable to remove some "growth" in the wood, Jim decided to sand the decks at no additional cost.  He finished by applying a nice coat of "Super Deck" stain.  He also cleaned & stained a small fence enclosure in a corner of the back deck at no extra cost.
Jim & his crew were very professional.  He was punctual (called to confirm time, etc) & cleaned up after themselves. He charged what was in the estimate, despite doing the extras like sanding & the fence boards.  We thought the cost was very reasonable compared to other estimates we had received.  We are very satisfied with the way the decks turned out & would recommend Jim & Billionfold Paint Co.to anyone needing deck maintenance."

"Excellent customer service! I called because my roof was leaking. They came out the same day and Ben gave us an estimate for the roof. They prioritized our roof, ordered the materials and replaced my roof in less then two weeks. The crew was very hard working and extremely fast. They worked from early in the morning to when it got dark,. They left my yard very clean. I highly recommend this company!!"

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

How long it takes to install composite decking depends on the size of the decking material, the skills of the person installing the deck, the number of people helping, and how much prep work needs to be done before you can begin. Generally speaking, it takes anywhere from a few days to several weeks to build a composite deck.

Yes, snow should be removed from a deck to protect it from damage caused by moisture and heavy loads. Shovel the snow off of your deck regularly once it is more than four inches deep. Avoid using salt, which can damage your deck.

No, termites do not eat Trex or any other composite decking brand. Termites eat cellulose, of which composite decking like Trex contains very little compared to natural wood. This feature can help justify the higher Trex decking costs if you live in an area with abundant termites.

Covering your deck with a breathable tarp can protect it from snow, ice, and cold winter temperatures. This is a good winterizing solution if you don’t plan to use your deck at all during the colder months. However, it might be best to skip the tarp if you’ll still be walking on your deck or using it in a limited capacity.

Space deck handrail posts four to six feet apart. If the posts are more than six feet apart, the railing will be less able to withstand lateral forces and is more susceptible to breaking. Additionally, railing posts that are more than six feet apart may not be up to code, and you may face fines and be required to reinstall the posts to bring them up to code.
